Pop Douglas and the AVP Offense

Win/loss is a team stat.

Drew Brees led the NFL in passing three years in a row, his Saints offense was top five, his defense was ranked dead last.

Brees went 7-9 three years in a row. It's a team game.

Brissett's stats as a starter aren't eye popping, but he's efficient... he doesn't turn the ball over.

After points, turnovers are the most important stat in football, because they most correlate to points.

If Jameis Winston could stop turning the ball over he'd be Warren Moon, if Mac could stop turning the ball over he'd be Kirk Cousins... neither can stop turning the ball over, so now they're pinned to the bench.
I would take the 30 TOs Winston over anything we had to call a qb last few seasons wozzy.... sad reality.

Exact Correct. We know bill was a master of cap manipulation... it worked as long as TB12 was playing. STs isn't so special anymore... teams are now thinking of putting thier SS out there to tackle on kick off and punt returns... give me Wolf approach take the talent and let him develop with big cannon arm drake.
BB was able to be successful in the cap era by limiting the number of high priced players on their second contracts. He managed the roster as if it was college with 4 year windows for players and only resigned the elite players who could live up to their price tags and released or traded those that were not a good value. This model depended on coaching players up quickly and getting them on the field when they were cheap. This strategy fell apart when the rules changed and the number of practice repetitions was not sufficient to adequately prepare players in the same amount of time. While losing TB12 made things much worse, the slide started when he was still on the team.

The Slide started when those Pathetic Drafts too much to list and misses at WR came back to haunt us. Brady left for greener pastures and better talent to play with.

Why… does losing feel better when you throw for a few more yards?

Wozzy you can't sell me on Biscuit I have already seen enough from that Journeyman I would have preferred G Minshew.

Minshew wants to start, Brissett knows his role. Brissett is also a similarly built player to Maye and Milton, he’s a better example for the youth.

So if I was an intern at Apple I was responsible for inventing the IPod?

Give me a break…
Last I checked all the people associated inventing the internet are bazillionaires... if it rains on our side of the street do you and I both get wet?... cmon wozzy your a smart guy.. you know wolf was involved...

Don't forget 30 INT with TB they still were 7-9.. wozzy forget to mention this... what was our record last season? Shocked we got 4 wins..

That's right. He squeezed as much out of those players while on rookie deals. This was able to be done due to consistency at the QB position, and the qb consistency taking team friendly deals. Fact of the matter is no matter if you Walsh, Bill, Parcells, Lombardi without the QB it just isn't possible to win in the NFL.. we got a harsh reality of this last season. Also within bills budgets his staffers were reported making less than HS football coaches.. but he did a great job of managing RKs organization during that time until the QB left.

It’s not the “Wolf Way” when he is a scouting assistant… sorry.

Bailey Jones couldn't even make it pass the 50 yard line last season...
Winston led the entire NFL in passing yards, was third in passing TD’s… he posted a historically bad turnover season as well. His team won 7 games.

Turnovers are team killers.

Agreed my friend. They still went 7-9
