Rugby guy is 6' 4" and 240LBs. Edge rushah. What's nice as he does not count towards the 90 and elevation to play rules from PS are loosened for International folk.
"For the first time ever, teams are permitted to elevate their IPP practice squad players to their active rosters a maximum of three times throughout the season."

I like those guys ... nice to see another one in the NFL and on our team for now.

Russell, one of just 16 international athletes vying for a start in the NFL, looks like he was plucked straight out of the “Edge Rushers ‘R’ Us” catalog. Standing at 6-foot-4, 239 pounds, the ex-rugby player resembles Von Miller or Fred Warner – two of the countless players Russell has studied.

“It’s all I hear; bendy, hips, hip mobility, the ankles, everything like that. Even with the way I run, I’m always trying to get around people, so the bending was nothing too new. The way I played rugby league, it was always trying to get low, leverage myself,” he said.

I went to a fight and saw a rubgy game.

I knew some rugby guys in Atlanta. It was more drinking and fisticuffs than rugby.

More diversity and inclusion!

"rules from PS are loosened for International folk." It would be nice if NFL rules for playing the game were loosened and a rugby player could play by rugby rules.

Don't forget that the Pat's have had some luck with these off beat signings . Steve Neal being the one who pops to mind first.

Good football development requires finding hidden gems. ?B found a bunch of them in the UDFA pool. The Eagles found their LT, not at the top of the draft, but down under like this kid. You never know.

Pats signing a rugby player? Are we sure Bill Belichick has really left the building?

There’s a subtle, but significant difference: Belichick signed an American rugby player and we’ve never won a World Cup match. The current regime signed a player from one of the southern hemisphere powerhouses.
