Thought Zappe could at least be groomed as a backup but don’t know anymore. Clearly all 31 teams didn’t think so when nobody else wanted to pick him up as a free agent. Plenty of backups that have been given opportunities this year who look stronger.
That was the point of the tuck rule.... losing possession as you finish your motion. IMO the tuck rule made a lot of sense, but with today's rules, that was a fumble.
