Why is nobody talking about him?? He seems to be doing it with talent around him. QB needy Team: Starter/Back-up type Hmmmm not high of the current alternatives.

Josh Dobbs has taught me to wait a few more games on this to see if the bubble bursts.

He seems at minimum like a high end backup, though.

In part because he's an ERFA, which means that the Bengals control his rights for next year.

Did you watch yesterday? He was pretty awful until late in the game. I give him credit for rallying.

Give teams time to scout him.

That's my disquieting thoughts we Need a Back-up and a Starter.

Will be interesting to see what he does the rest of the way for sure

Cute girlfriend too, so that's something

I'm gonna pump the brakes on coveting a back up QB who has arguably the best WRs in the league.

Don't think Zappe is a good backup? Think he's done well with what he's been given this year.

There's better backups, but also far worse out there.

Browning will look alright on a team that's already pretty stacked. Vikings had to blow some coverage and Tee Higgins had the make the catch of his career for the game to even tie. It seemed like the Vikings got caught off guard when the Bengals entered survival mode and continued to play aggressive. The OT was pretty ugly from the Bengals offense until, again, they caught the Vikings slacking.

I watch Bengals games with some old-school fans here in Cincinnati, and the most interesting talking point I heard was this: why didn't the Bengals play Browning in the stretches where it was clear Burrow was playing with an injury? If Browning can step up, you could argue that they could've been much less risky.

On that note, though, I think the Bengals really shot themselves in the foot losing as many games as they did so early. Probably forced them to play Burrow in games/situations where if they were on track, they could've entertained Browning.

A similar case to JimmyG although at this point Jake did more than those 2 Jimmy games, let's see if there's a trade market for him and after that what he's gonna get in a contract

I mean he's throwing to Chase/Higgins. I doubt if you sign him here and give him parker/juju he's doing the same...
RI: you're not helping.

In fairness, he could be throwing to Higgins here depending on who ends up being GM.

Rob my apologies for thinking Zappe was something you were right all along about him.

I don't really care about being right or wrong. Personally, I wish I was wrong about him and all the Zappeites were 100% correct and he was the second coming of Brady or some facsimile.

There is no need to apologize for being wrong about something you posted on a message board. This is a sports message board. Everyone has hot takes. You'll get some right and some wrong. There is no accountability for sportscasters and talk show hosts for their hot takes. So there definitely shouldn't be for anonymous posters on a Patriots message board.

Well that football guru, Joni Mitchell, once said: Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone.
