Yup, my friend is a die hard fan and I'm going to have burst his bubble. It's a terrible trade and the 49ers are using too many resources towards one position. He's an injury prone player on an expiring contract. It would be a surprise if he finishes the season.

Meanwhile, their DB's have been their main weakness since they became a contender in 2019.

They just got shredded by Cousins and Burrow in back to back weeks because other than Ward their corners stink

I'm not even a fan of Ward. He's decent, but he gets penalized a lot as he's a grabber.

I thought Jemeson Williams was drafted to be Lions' WR1. After his injury and then suspension he shows absolutely nothing.

This was my first thought. A guy who can probably be had pretty cheap this coming offseason.
