FWIW, if they offered a first, I'd take it. Anything less than a 2 would be F off territory.
Lance has done literally nothing in the NFL and SF got a 4th for him. I would think Mac ought to fetch a bit more than that.

If I’m BB unless I’m is blown away with an offer id keep Mac and let him finish the season no matter what for better or worse. At least then I know what I have with Mac for sure and then I can take into 2024 some knowledge about what I need from the offense.

If the team decides Mac just needs weapons then I hope they have enough picks to move up and get Marvin Harrison Jr. That would be nice. if the team feels Mac isn’t the guy then don’t pick up his option and go QB shopping.
Agreed, the haul for Mac has to be worth it but the Vikes are in playoff contention and I’m not sure their backup gets them there. They might willing to overpay a bit. If not, keep Mac.

If you get a fair offer for Mac (2nd/3rd round range) you take it and don’t think twice about it.

Sell what?? Who wants to buy what the Pats are selling? not kidding, seriously.

I do wonder if Dallas would want Zeke back just to help spell Pollard the rest of the way.

I think a playoff team could benefit from several players. Not that I think BB would be willing, but you don’t think guys like Peppers, J Jones, Elliott, Rham could be key pickups for contenders ?

I considered this today. Dallas might consider a 4th rounder for Zeke

i dont think teams are even offering a 4th for henry thats why there saying there keeping him. But who knows it is dallas

How much can we get for belichick? 1st rounder?

Nobody is paying a first for a 71 year old coach who probably doesn't have much more than 5 years in him and will likely retire as soon as he gets a certain record, whose abilities have clearly diminished.

I want to extend Henry.

However, let's look at what you are saying. If the choice is get a 4th or let him be a free agent, you don't want the 4th. The issue for me is how likely we to being able to extend Henry.

I meant Derrick Henry not Hunter

It is a buyers market this year

I think
Mac would fetch a 3rd at best
Dugger a 3rd
Zeke a 5th or 6th
Uche a 4th
Bourne a third
Zappe a 7th or nothing

Sad there is not one tradeable asset who we could even get a second for

I think they need answers on what they have on offense including QB going into 2024.

If they’re going to ship Mac out of town can they get those answers with say Zappe finishing the season? I can’t see how. Zappe can’t even run an NFL level offense as we saw in the preseason. Can’t imagine Grier being much better.

I’d rather keep Jones for the rest of the season unless the team gets an offer they can’t refuse. A second or better might be such an offer.

There are exactly two benefits to a bottom 5 season vs reaching the Conference Championship.

(1) You get one premium draft pick.
(2) You get three easier games on your schedule the next year.
Only 2 theoretically easier games.

Jones issues are processing. He isn’t decisive, stays on reads too long and misses the window of open receivers. That is coachable. The rest of 2023 should be giving him an intense course in the coaching he needs to see if he can improve. When he makes the right decisions, on time, he is fine. How much of his indecision comes from being coached 3 different ways in 3 different years?

I feel like at this point 8 games into the season, I don’t know what we don’t already know about Mac that we might learn from another 9 games.

Doubt the team will move Mac unless they get a second or better. Unless there’s a problem with him that’s not football related or a problem with him in the locker room.
Dugger a 3rd
Agreed

Dallas might give us more.
Uche a 4th
Yep

Yep

Likely nothing. Teams already said lol no thanks when they could have had him for free in August already so I can’t imagine it would be different if they offer him up again.

Gonzalez might get a first but they won’t trade him.
Maybe Judon.
