According to Mike Reiss, the Patriots have signed rookie WR Ed Lee to a contract. He went undrafted out of Rhode Island this Spring
The team still has one open roster spot

Never heard of him... Did he, like, bag Billy's or Al Groh's kid's groceries recently or something?

Chess v Checkers

Amazing signing!

Rookie free agent, end of the roster camp fodder type of signing. Has nothing to do with anything other than that. They were already thin enough (just in terms of TC bodies) that without Schuster they were running Webb and Cunningham in a number of sets at the OTA. It's just so they have enough actual WR bodies to run the reps.

10 WR's not including Cunningham and Montgomery. I don't remember if their was 12ish in previous seasons before cut down. Maybe they are not impressed with Webb and Nixon.

Wasn’t Tre Nixon the talk of last year’s OTAs?

They are a little light at WR, so I wouldn't read much into this.

I suspect we are looking at a revolving door.

12ish WR's is light (now 13)....ok. Troy is going to be busy.

Basically similar to what he had last year which amounted to around $20M
I thought I read he wanted OBJ money which is $15M guaranteed. I think we should offer $10M guaranteed and $6M in incentives for 16 total. Cut Parker to get the $6M back.
