2022-23 Playoffs; The Quest for The Cup

Gotta love the night Bertuzzi had, this was just the cherry on top,

Hoping for a better effort tonite from the home team. Panthers will play harder for sure. When do the injured starters come back?

So pumped going tn with my son. Nice corner seats opposing end.

I'm already watching this. Definitely fired up

i think he is ruled out for Game 2. No issue...we took a little bit to get going in Game 1 but with the resting of players and a layoff, it was expected. We are so deep we can afford to let Bergy get right before coming back.

Yep, skating on his own was a pretty good indicator he wouldn't be playing tonight. If he thought he might be good to go he'd probably have opted for the optional team skate, What a difference the depth on this team makes, 10 years ago Bergeron played through a punctured lung, broken ribs, torn cartilage and a separated shoulder. This year's team is more than comfortable having him take his time and get whole.

All types of reports out there anywhere from day to day to he may not be back at all. Shinzawa is a pretty straight shooter and says day to day but he's only as good as his sources. If Bergeron is skating one would expect he'll be back at some point. Certainly no issue with his toughness

Down by three with seven minutes left. This is sucking, looks like Florida is feeling it and that's not good.

I know little about hockey but would like to see the Bruins seal the deal on their epic regular season.

Sloppy, sloppy game out of the B's tonight. They turned over the puck far too often tonight, hopefully the home ice beat down provides a wake up call, Outside of Marchand their top guys just didn't show, particularly on D.

Do you think they might be in trouble? Dropping one at home this early seems disturbing.

I wasn't impressed by the game 1 win. Not surprised by tonite's result. Hopefully this is a wake up call.

They looked a tad off their game in the 1st one until the 3rd and straight up out of synch in this one. There's usually a clunker in most every opening round series. Hopefully this was it and they'll round into form on the road

Yeah, I'm no expert either but that definitely wasn't good.

I didn't like the energy of the crowd chanting Lyon's name by the way.

I am far from an expert on hockey, I am a very casual fan, but it seemed to be like a mid-February level of intensity. I don't think they are in trouble, but I think they are in for more of a fight than maybe they thought.

Agreed. I was thinking they might've been a bit too satisfied from the way they coasted through those late-season wins. Playoff intensity is different in all sports.

Very sloppy game, way too many turnovers. They need Bergeron back so the lines go back to what they are used to, every line is different because one man has moved up a line. I think if he comes back then everything settles down.

The book on the B’s in the playoffs is hit them every chance you get and they will turn the puck over, look at Charlie’s turnover that led to a goal, he saw he was about to get hit and he passed the puck to the middle of the ice, he looked like Matt Grzelyck on that.

Speaking of Gryzleck, he had the second highest plus or minus on the team this year, I wonder how long the coach keeps him out of the lineup.

I'm an expert and yes, it was not good at all. Boston fans in all sports continue to embarrass themselves with crap like that. No need to get the other teams pissed and riled up. I fully expect the Bruins to get their act together...you dont break all the records they have and then play like this for very long.

i would expect Gryz to be in the lineup in game 3. They were 5-0 without Bergeron in the regular season, but looks like they could use him on the ice. I know he is involved in the4 locker room.

Exactly. And it's just so lame. You have a potentially historic team and you start chanting your first round opponent's goalies' name after he gives up a goal? Wtf?! And then your team gets their ass kicked. Pathetic.

Well then that solves that mystery as to why the B's couldn't stop turning the puck over to the Panthers. It was the terrible Boston fans causing all the problems. Since we are heading to Florida, we should be able to win again. This hockey game is such a simple, game, get your fans to stop saying "mean' things to the opposition and you win. Yay!!
