NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Official 2023 Free Agency Thread

We need to find our James Whiteish back.
Pierre Strong.

Ty Montgomery is our Brandon Bolden type who can backup Strong and play special teams.

Not really a big need.

But depth is always a good thing, find another grinder late in the draft or an UDFA, or bring Damien Harris back on a team friendly deal.

Dru Tranquil, Lavonte maybe, hello? anyone home?

An LB and Hopkins plus draft Njigba + an OT, Kraft TE, and Martin Safety, Lonnie Phelps and a punter in the last 2 rounds. Try and get Kobie Turner in the 4th-5hth also.
Like Tranquill a lot... otherwise Devin Bush, Joe Bachie, Milo Eifler, Tanner Muse, Deion Jones or Eric Wilson are some good athletic weak side LB'ers who can make our defense faster.

What’s the point of tampering period? It’s basically FA beginning anyways. They need to go back to just having the start of free agency be the beginning of signings.

That monster pass rush is just about gone.
Exactly Bradberry was even benched at times during his giants tenure for poor play.. he goes to Philly behind as it is stated that excellent front.. all of a sudden he's an All-pro? Seems ALL- PRO it's starting to be used very loosely these days.. good CB, but when you have to hold all the time as ty law said you don't believe in your technique as a player...

I'd take a swing at an Ekeler trade if the price is right.

Highly doubtful though he's probably going to want McCaffrey money
Actually our RB group and safety group are our deepest and most solid areas on the team.. Ekeler good player but always injured.. ty Montgomery Is still on this roster.. either he or Strong Jr will be in that 3rd down back role..

I want Rham to be fresher during the season he is the bell cow..

I know it is only March, but feels that way to me.

Maybe extending our own guys and just drafting new blood is the move to make now…. that would give us massive cap space…..
Yeah... guys like to sign early in FA as it gives them security and a sense of where they will be playing. So OTAs are not far.. that's how teams come together.. we still have some time ... I feel there is a trade in the works.. no way we can leave the WR corps like this?

“Analysis: Played for Coach McDaniels from 2017-2019 in NE and thrived under his teaching.”

Lol wut

What was Ty Montgomery’s injury last year? It happened in week 1 and didn’t look serious, then he never played again iirc

It’s two days in, but it will be pretty aggravating if we end up doing next to nothing in FA Like what are we doing at this point? Last year we were cap strapped. There’s no excuse this year.

He was recovering from a shoulder issue, and then had a knee injury during the Miami game week 1..

He definitely was in play for that scat back, 3rd down role.. we have options.. I really think strong Jr. Can fulfill that role..

Not only do they have money this year, but they have like 160 million in cap for next year, no reason they can’t push money into next year if need be.

Interesting to finally see appropriate wording here. Every agreement is pending a physical, and there are definitely more deals that we just haven’t heard about yet.
