BB THE GOAT

I doubt Andy Reid will live that long, never mind coach that long.

The same way Brady needed a good program and coaching around him, so does everyone else.
Only needs 4 more rings 10 consecutive AFCC appearances, an undefeated regular season... just to name a few..

Foles was great in SB 52 against a self-depleted defense. Foles was also great in the NFCCG. He had a stellar postseason in 2017.
So Foles is a superior QB... a franchise caliber QB?

So was Joe Flacco, Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Eli Manning (twice), all three of Joe Gibbs journeyman QB's, Jeff Hostetler, Jim McMahon, Jim Plunkett and on and on and on...

I just want clarification...

Well Andy Reid is the picture of health, he's a fitness freak... could happen.

.

Can you show us on this doll where Bill Belichick touched you?

I have no idea and do not want to know how you got your hands on this gif

rooting for a guy who has never played for the pats and simultaneously always bashing the qb who has brought joy and played a major role in the biggest run of a franchise all time which brought even more joy to the fans shows who you are
Don't take his bait. He doesn't believe his own BS. Trolls for trolling sake.

Andy Reid is an all-time great NFL coach, but he's also got fewer in front than behind, much like Bill. What will propel Mahomes over the top for the second half of his career will be, to paraphrase Brady, the next one... the next head coach. If they get him a great coach, or even a guy that just keeps the train rolling a la George Siefert, that will be a big factor if Mahomes ends up earning a seat at the table with Brady, Manning, Montana, Marino et al, regardless of how he's treated as the newest flavor du jour by the media.

Mahomes will also need to dedicate himself to his own longevity. Something that came out of an interview with Tom House recently about Brady, was about how every year (after the age of 35 or so), he'd spend a big chunk of his offseason re-establishing his throwing mechanics, because they had to change as his body got older. A slight tweak in delivery, footwork, etc, would allow him to keep similar zip on the ball despite his body not function exactly as it did when he was 25. It's not that Brady just miraculously never aged, he just had the dedication and awareness to adjust for that altered reality so he could maintain an efficient throwing motion.

At some point, Mahomes is going to lose some of the natural physical gifts that make him so dangerous (especially with how often he seems to be a bit hobbled in the playoffs). Like a pitcher losing some MPH on his fastball, if he commits to adjusting for that change, he should be near the top of the league for many years to come. But if he goes the Cam Newton route, and just continues to rely on freaky athleticism, his window will close a lot sooner.

I think the chiefs next HC is already there, Matt Nagy... Will do better there than he did in hapless chicago

When did Bill get to 10 consecutive AFCCGs? And since when does going 16-0 mean anything?

Did you ever watch Any patriots games? And did you ever hear of them having a undefeated regular season? Those are some accomplishments I mentioned that they can be proud off as a franchise..

Bill got to 8 AFCCGs in a row from 2011-2018, not 10. And the 16-0 regular season is an embarrassment given the ending. The 16-0 banner was as lame as the Colts AFC Finalist banner.

We'll see... time changes all things and Matt Nagy maybe long gone by the time Reid steps down.

Nah. It was a great accomplishment that all Patriot fans should be proud of. I know I am. Was at the 16th game in Jersey, and it was a pretty spectacular event to be at and experience.

I'm proud of the season/accomplishment regardless of the finish but I don't think the banner was necessary.

Clearly the Krafts felt that team needed some acknowledgement with everyone feeling empty after the season....

I understand the thought process. Still hurts.

So you admit you are using a double standard.
Oh? When did I do that?

Your logic is a decision cost a game but you can’t accept that a qb playing poorly cost a game?
I just said Bledsoe in SB 31. His poor play gets majority blame for the loss. So yeah, there are examples of poor QB play being majoritively responsible for a loss.

Here are the points scored in patriot losses with Brady

Is your argument that Brady is responsible for all of these losses? I doubt that's what you're actually saying, but if so, let me know, and then I'll address it.

You have no idea what would have happened if unprepared Malcolm Butler had played, it’s just an excuse.
Yes, I have an idea. So do you, if you're being honest. I mean Butler played 98% of the snaps to that point in the season. The coaching staff trusted him for the entirety of the 2017 season, 18 games. In fact, Butler played 98% of the defensive snaps from 2015 through 2017, 55 games. Yet on the 56th game he played 0% of defensive snaps.

And not only was Butler completely removed from the lineup but it threw the rest of the secondary into complete chaos. You're lying if you deny this, we all saw the results throughout that game, the secondary was a total disaster. Only a fool would think Butler's absence had nothing to do with that.

And "unprepared"? Please, like I just pointed out, Butler had played 98% of the team's defensive snaps for the previous 55 games. A minor illness, and a few underwhelming practices, or a dustup with an assistant coach, led him to be unprepared?? For the Super Bowl, a game he prepared his entire football life to participate in.

Butler was in uniform, on the sideline, BB deployed him on ST, Butler said after the game he could have played and helped the team, and yet BB kept him on the sideline out of spite or for some offer personally motived reason and they lost.

It's been 5 years since SB 52. I've watched the game start to finish multiple times. I've considered all of the variables. My opinion then, still, and probably always will be BB's benching of Butler lost SB 52 for the Patriots.

If someone is bothered by that banner, so be it... Does nothing to diminish an unprecedented regular season accomplishment... Just remember, no other franchise can hang a banner like that... The 2007 Patriots stand alone on that hill... If RKK wants to celebrate it, its his right to do so...

I actually think Kraft is most responsible for hiring Belichick who is most responsible for hiring Brady. Bill has been in charge of football operations since 2000.
Belichick drafted Brady, so no matter how much Brady exceeded BB's expectations of a 6th round draft pick, BB gets full credit for everything Brady meant to the Patriots Dynasty?? If that's your simpleton argument then we're done here.

Exactly. Thats my personal feeling as well. Didn't bother me as I didn't think it was necessary.

The division banners drive me insane.

There is a team in MIA who can one-up us.

There has been one 16-0 team. There have been 55 AFC finalists. I’m proud of that banner. It’s not lame in any way shape or form.

Yes the way the season finished was embarrassing, too bad BB’s defense wasn’t up to the task of stopping the 20th ranked passing offense in that game when it mattered most…

I realize that. Its why I was very careful to acknowledge that it was a regular season accomplishment.

but I'll be damned before I let Mac10 diminish or repudiate what the '07 team achieved because he's been swimming in the deep end of crazy lately...
