From who? That is a declarative statement.
Mac Jones is the starter. Bailey Zappe is the back up.
There is no controversy as far as the team is concerned.
Change my mind.
With no help for that First and First Defense.Zappe had the opportunity to take the job away from Jones on Monday night, but imploded. Now Mac has the chance to take his job back in practice.
Its not an opinion. It is fact.No. You are perfectly entitled to that opinion.
How about the team? They didn’t seem to know wtf was going on.the mediots are all over the New England "qb controversy" ... have seen written here "when you have 2 qbs, you have none"... all that stuff references a controversy... which does not exist.
We, the fans, the media, the general public, may not know - but Belichick does, and his opinion is the only one that matters in this instance.
When Belichick massively failed in handling the game and QB situation opinions of the players and those on the outside do matter.the mediots are all over the New England "qb controversy" ... have seen written here "when you have 2 qbs, you have none"... all that stuff references a controversy... which does not exist.

Those turnovers need to stop
Well said elementary holmes.Belichicks lack of endorsement publicly for Mac is all you need to know.
In Belichicks mind Mac has regressed whether he wants to look at his coaching staff as the reason or the player directly it is what it is.
I think Bill is looking at this weeks practice and whoever has the crisper practice will be the starter.
This is a competition and both QBs are on a thin Leash,
I love how people say Zappe imploded.
If it wasn’t for Zappe Bears might have had a complete shutout.
The Mac pack will have to follow him to his new team next year just like the Bradyiots left to go to Tampa.

Is Mac one of those players who look good in practice and is a train wreck in games?? The Offense is not responding to Mac on the other hand it seems to move with Zappe.Belichicks lack of endorsement publicly for Mac is all you need to know.

After Judge got fired Daniel Jones got better not looking good for Mac Jones if Judge is going to stick around.I think it's clear Mac has regressed but I don't know if you give up on him after one good season (2021) and one bad season (2022). I would give him another year and see what he's got. Daniel Jones had a great rookie year (similar TD/INT ratio as Mac's last year) and then seemed to regress in years 2 and 3. Now he's having a really good year.
