I have to say that as someone who really only comes to this message board for his football fix (no twitter, no ESPN, no sports radio), I really appreciate your constant posting of all these tweets and other news updates. I'm not sure how many other people avoid all those sources too, but I thank you for the effort.

@Ian please give Ashley a raise.

Same with me, though if I'm driving I'll surf the Sirius/XM for the NFL channel, depending on the hosts...

We need the big Guy back, ASAP...

And I thought we were told that doGchow & Carl's Junior were "run-stopperz"? We already knew that Barmore & Ukulele weren't...

EDIT: Just saw that Guy was a DNP yesterday... Hope that changes today or we're in trouble on Sunday...

Are people following Detroit's injury report? They're a mess with several contributors on offense questionable or worse. If the Patriots lose this game it's a total disaster.

The injury-ravaged Lions likely will be without their No. 1 running back when they visit the Patriots this Sunday. https://wp.me/pch2rN-6ASd

Let's see who we have at qb first before calling it a disaster

Are we taking into account the opponent? Detroit hasn't had a double digit win season since 2014. They're well on their way to their 5th straight last place finish in their division. Their head coach is Dan Campbell. Statistically the worst defense in the in the NFL, can't stop anything, run or pass. Harris and Stevenson should eat them alive. Zappe's priority will be don't screw it up. Goff is probably having nightmares of SB 53. Please give me a reason why Detroit will win this game... I can't think of one.

For starters any given Sunday I was laughed at for saying the Pats had a chance at GB and they almost pulled it off.

The Lions have the best offense by PPG through 4 games so they're doing something right on that side of the ball. However they are also the worst defense by PPG through 4 games.

The Pats should win, but I wouldn't take the Lions lightly specially having a rookie QB likely starting

They have already won a game this year, played Philly the closest to any team they have played so far and in the league now, everyone is so evenly matched that a bounce of the ball here or there, a turnover here or there is the difference between a win or a loss. Not sure if you watch every Pat game, but just look at this year's games. We could easily be 4-0, but we're 1-3....so close, but yet so far.

Right and that would have been a disaster for Green Bay.

Lions fell behind by 15 or more points to both the Eagles and Seahawks... the final scores made those games look more competitive than they were. Patriots never got back in the Miami game after falling behind 17-0, but whatever, the Steelers and Packers games could have gone either way.

Patriots cannot drop to 1-4 with a loss at home to a bad team from the weaker conference with a head coach like Dan Campbell.

We better not fall behind by more than a score: two scores = insurmountable.

That Miami game was misleading. We lost the turnover battle 3-0. Turned the ball over in the end zone, had a sack/fumble return for a td, we had 271 yards compared to 307 for Miami, lost another fumble driving for a score, had 17 first downs compared to 18 for Miami....an even game all around....I'm not sure you watched it, but the scoreboard didn't do that game justice.

Back to your premise, yes, we need to win this game badly!!!!!
