That Foxboro Flu can get pretty nasty. It's unlikely, but the injury settlement makes it at least possible that he comes back this year and plays (if healthy).
Seems to me he wasn't going to make our roster and he must have been injured enough to not be cut. It's unlikely, but the injury settlement makes it at least possible that he comes back this year and plays (if healthy).

I didn't think he was going to make the team right before he was placed on IR, but that doesn't mean the CB depth won't deplete over the course of the season. He might be worth a spot on the 53 if/when half the current CB depth chart is on IR.Seems to me he wasn't going to make our roster and he must have been injured enough to not be cut.
He'd need to be on the original 53 to come back later on IR.Or ... playing well enough to not be cut, but not well enough to make the roster. I sort of get the sense that's what happened here.
Wanted to stash him as ST depth and insurance at DB in case of injury, but couldn't justify cutting others before him.
Thanks: see you Malc thanks for that SB game winning int. He'd need to be on the original 53 to come back later on IR.
Nah, he was released with an injury settlement. Depending on the length of the settlement he can sign anywhere after that. He'd need to be on the original 53 to come back later on IR.

Numbers crunch at corner. Mills Jones x3 are locks. Mitchell is probably on the roster. Butler is probably below Wade too. He was like CB7.Why wouldn't he have? People might injure themselves tonight, after all...
True, but I think if they really wanted him, they'd have just gotten him on 53 and put him on IR.Nah, he was released with an injury settlement. Depending on the length of the settlement he can sign anywhere after that.
This way he can come back in 6 weeks if necessary, and they dont have to make a tough cut. He was always emergency depth, and I thought half-decent anyway.Numbers crunch at corner. Mills Jones x3 are locks. Mitchell is probably on the roster. Butler is probably below Wade too. He was like CB7.
