The really unfortunate side of this is the hit athletes with mental health issues will or are gonna take in the future. A lot of folks were pissed with the way he left the team, and a lot of others supported him. Just to find out he was gambling on games like a twat. If an NFL player is betting on NFL games, a year is lenient.

My conspiracy theory (which I don’t think is too far fetched) is the league got word of him betting games while he was playing last season and told him to find a reason to "step away". I would assume he agreed since he would potentially be facing a lifetime ban from the game. Seems awfully convenient that the league claims he was only betting after he stepped away. Between this and Stephen Ross allegedly trying to pay Flores to tank the league's credibility is taking some major hits.
