I'm still against bringing him in at this time, but there has been some mutual respect between him and Belichick/McDaniels, so it's not impossible that it would happen. My money is on elsewhere though.
Agreed
Meyers, Bourne and Agahlor are working out OK. And, Harry is producing something. Add Henry and Smith and I just dont see where Beckam fits.
Furthermore, OBJs complaint is that he doesnt see the ball enough. He would not shut up in NE because these problematic WRs never change.
Beckham can fight for a spot, hopefully he fumbles less. Mac is a great deep ball passer, having OBJ and Aghalor on the outside could really open up some big gainers. But I will be ok if we stay Pat too, no pun intended.Agreed

IF Bill indeed believes that signing a healthy enough, motivated enough & willing enough to sign here for basically the vet minimum OBJ will help us win, then all the other Pats WRs can STFU and watch how it's done...
If Odell passes waivers, he is not coming to play with a rookie QB in frigid NE. I think he goes some place warm that is a contender or to a dome team. I have to think the Saints will be the front runner.
It's not like Mac is playing like Justin Fields. Mac's progress and production to date makes his "rookie' status irrelevant IMOIf Odell passes waivers, he is not coming to play with a rookie QB in frigid NE. Here is the initial tweet:
Agree with your premise Rob, I don't see him going to the Saints...I wonder how important winning is to OBJ...will he take a discount to play for a contender or a good situation or just go to whoever pays him the most money....I could see teams like GB, Raiders, KC being interested in him.I don't think OBJ is coming here, but does he want to go to the Saints to try to catch footballs from Trevor Siemian or Tysom Hill? I'd rather catch balls from Mac Jones.
If OBJ clears waivers he is going to go to the place that will allow him get the most targets from the best QB. He is now playing for a new contract. He is not going to go to a place where he isn't given a big role or has mediocre WRs if he has a choice. So I doubt it will be the Saints.
If I was a betting man, I would be putting money down on the Raiders or maybe the Chiefs. Carr has shown he can be a very productive QB with enough talent around him and they now have a huge hole at WR. And the Chiefs have Mahomes.
