Big acquisition for the Cards and Kyler Murray. The two best teams in the league many be in the NFC West. Despite losing to the Cards, I still thought the Rams are the better team, but Ertz closes that gap quite a bit if he returns to his old form.

Probably would rather have Ertz than either Hunter Henry or Jonnu Smith. Or both together. With a good QB, Ertz is a beast.

At this point in his career, Henry is better all around and Jonnu has a higher ceiling. Ertz is really great in the red zone and average to below average at everything else.

He can't stay on the field though.

I remember this offseason when Howie Roseman said he wouldn't take anything less than a first-rounder, maybe two first-rounders.

Ertz hasn't had a QB to throw to him in years. Jalen Hurts and post injury Carson Wentz are two mediocre at best QBs.

That's true. Wasn't thinking of that. Although broken ribs and lacerated kidney are not the type of injuries that repeat themselves.

Yet it was clear he wasn't even the best TE on the team, he was behind Goedert in recent times.

Seems Howie was banking on the big name, whereas the rest of the NFL was looking at recent tape and injury history.

He was the best weapon on the field last night for the Ogles.

Ertz is not Ertz anymore. I'd be shocked if he holds up.

What is the Cardinals offensive lineup now?

Last year Ertz has 4.7 yards/tgt, that is N'Keal Harry level of awful. This year he is up to 6.1 yards/tgt,

And before you go blaming the QB. Dallas Goedert, Phillies other TE, had 8.1 yards/tgt last year and 11.4 this year.

Ertz had a high ankle sprain early in the year last year. Missed five games and was never close to 100% when he came back.

The ground isn't as hard in AZ as in Philly.
Yep. The famous soccer-playing wife is from Mesa. Seems like this was a requested destination.

Wow, risky playing Ertz last night vs TB...

In the NFC, it's basically Dallas, Arizona, LAR, and TB. If Ertz can return to his 2019 form, it's a big acquisition for the Cards...

Ertz is on the back end of his career. Much rather have Henry and Smith. Ertz is a big name, not a big playmaker.

Anyone else remember during joint practices when some Philly reporter tried to make it into a scandal that Bill was talking to Ertz? And claimed Bill said “I’ll get you one day”?

edit: I found it lol
