Peter King doesn't think Pats will run the table

Peter Kings opinion is worth no more than any poster on this board.

If they do make the run there should be an asterisk because of the cheating. The same as I feel about Barry Bonds. There is no need for Coach Belichick or as some are calling Coach Belicheat to do what he did. Un-exceptable.

It's alright Don Aquaboy sill loves you.
By the way know what cheating is before coming here with this crap.

If they have a 90% chance of winning each game, the odds of winning 7 straight would be less than 50% (slightly).

In the playoffs, I'd give them less than 90% for each game. If 70%, the odds of running ther table goes down to 16%.

That's what my head says, but I'd still put it at 50-50.

Right, it's not illogical for him to pick teams he feels individually have a 15% chance or whatever at an upset, say "these are the most likely upsetters," and then assert that an upset will probably happen.

Peter King dribbles on the table ... what Peter King predictions have come true this year? Like I said ... Peter King dribbles on the table.

BTW: Gotta love Peter King getting a little soft. Wednesday on WEEI he made reference to calling Marty , and then he says like I always do. We all know this but to hear him say it now is funny.

So is it the Peter King column or the Marty Snottenheimer column written by Peter?

I'm still sticking by 19-0. Accuscore had the Pats going 16-0 60% of the time if we beat the Colts.

In that case, Accuscore is using crazy win percentages for the Patriots. They should rename it to PatriotScore.

it's hard to disagree with King. .

Actually, it's pretty easy. You just have to pick one of the stupid things he says (worry about Baltimore) instead of one of the ones this is obviously likely to happen (the Patriots won't run the table). (Obvious to those who know statistics and assign winning probabilities to each game that are anywhere close to reality...)

Care to give a reasoned basis for this opinion as to why the cheating should result in an asterisk this season?

I didn't think so.

The Ravens cant even score 10 points so how the hell are they going to beat the Patriots

What is unacceptable (not un-exceptable, ******) is your calling yourself Irish. Or are you just the dad of a loser Notre Dame student? Either way, why don't you take a walk out to the barnyard and wake up one of the sheep?

what cheating ? the 8 mins. of tape against the jets ? you're kidding, right ! the only thing the jets could show on tape is how to lose.

as far as king's prediction goes, my grandmother says he's an idiot. she's not sure who peter king is but she goes to the casinos and bets against him and thanks him for paying her mortgage.

Baltimore??????????? what's he smoking?

If the Patriots don't win out the rest of the way I tend to think their loss will come against a Baltimore or a Buffalo. I don't think they're going to let the Steelers come into Foxborough and beat them on their own home field and if they're 15 - 0 heading into the media capital of the world in New York City I don't think motivation will be an issue. If they stub their toe it'll come in an unexpected way and against an unexpected opponent. Despite reports to the contrary they are human beings.

I would say that if the Patriots do lose one it will probably be to either Miami or Philly. I think they will be up for teams like Baltimore and Pittsburgh. They should have a bye the first playoff week, so I don't see Cassel starting against the Giants. And if they're 15-0, you know that the players will go all out to win the last one. And I don't think Bill would just pull them, either. Hopefully they could put it out of reach by halftime, and coast the rest of the way. The odds say it's almost impossible to go 16-0, but taken a game at a time there's not an opponent they won't be favored against. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. The statement by King doesn't bother me. Not after all the "grandstanding" about the taping thing long after it was yesterday's news!

The Steeler game could be important from a strategic angle. If we are 12-0 going into that game. They could be 10-2. A loss to them puts us 1 more loss from a possible 3 seed. I'm also assuming the Colts keep winning. I think they'll keep it close. But, they have had a difficult time with Pats spread offense.

You live on the dark side. Going from undefeated to 3rd seed. Kind of funny. No, not a chance. This isn't your father's Red Sox, these are the N.E. Patriots.
