Underrated hit of the Colts game

Did anyone notice the whack Warren deliverd on Manning in the fourth quarter just after he released the ball? I think it was on their last or second to last posession. Warren hit him square in the stomach and his head whipped back at a high velocity before he fell to the ground. He had to be feeling that one Monday morning.

It was on the strip sack Rosie had. It was one hell of a hit. Nobody can say Manning can't take a punishing (I will, however, refrain from calling him tough. Gotta possess that mentally to be labeled tough.)

Manning definitely stands up impressively to punishment. I don't remember what game it was, but he took a hit last year where it looked like he was going to be snapped in half, and the commentators were pretty much prepping viewers for the fact that he may not be getting up from that one, and he just stood up and staggered off, and was back in the game shortly. Anyone else remember more specifics on this? If you saw the hit, you'll know which one I was talking about, it was pretty nasty.

Also, he got bodyslammed pretty hard by Kris Jenkins the week before they played the Pats, and, while dazed, he managed to get up and stay in the game. People talk about how lucky Brady and Manning are to have had such injury-free careers, but, when you see them take some of the shots that they take and get back up, you realize that it's just because they're both tough as hell.

Remember the Miami game? Matt Light got beat about six times and we got thumped. Brady got clobbered over and over in that one.

yeah at first i thought it was Colvin pulling him down, CBS blew it by not showing more angles...that was the hit of the game and Manning doesn't get hit like that too often !

Let's all take a moment and think back on the [shudder] Seahawks-Steelers Superbowl and give thanks that there are two genuinely excellent football teams in the league this year.

My goodness, 'chick, don't bring that game up. The QB play was downright awful. Truly made me appreciate Mr. Brady. And what the hell was with the game management? Just a horrendous, horrendous Super Bowl. If anything the NFL should be rooting for the Patriots to play in the SB, they put on one hell of a show (it would probably be a different kind of show if they went this year).
