It's interesting, looks like Eliot Wolf is the one on the phone arranging the trade then gives a thumbs up to Belichick that the trade is good. Then Najerian does the call to Barmore.

Barmore fills a need as the Pats were really bad at run defense on 3rd down and red zone. But Barmore is more of a pass rushing DLineman, not a run stuffing nose tackle. More Jarvis Green I think than Wilfork.

Seymour himself had a label as being lazy and low motor, again bad draft pundits thinking it was a bad pick. The kid is really young. He clearly can play given how much he dominated in the college playoffs. If he isn't the brightest bulb (again I am skeptical of pundits who drop crazy rumors like this) the good news is he plays a position that is one of the least intellectually taxing positions.
