I haven't heard anything but the hit he took didn't look that bad...I wish they would have shown a replay.
I said to my wife when Harris took that hit last night (against the same Jets organization) that it seemed more violent than Bledsoe’s 2001 hit when was injured.

I think Cam is the guy. So pay him. Find a #1 receiver and a NT and we're good.

We'll agree to disagree. There isn't a NT walking through the door this year. Or a #1 receiver.

And next year, with 22 some FAs including Butler, Guy and Wise, the D-line is getting revamped..

LOL, we just went from the 5th overall pick to the 11th pick with the Folk FG...thankfully, not too many winnable games left

Sincere question, why not just not pay the players, loose all your games period, and get the best draft possible?

Being that this is a team sport, and people may find this hard to believe, but pro athletes in general play to win added that there are so many variables on a 20 plus man playing team, it's impossible to know exactly what you need unless you're playing the game.

I've never played pro football but have you where you can offer some invaluable insight on why guys would play to lose?

Happy the offense finally got to finish the game after all those last second heartbreaks against Seattle, Denver and Buffalo.

It looks like the offense is getting back to where they were before the COVID shenanigans robbed them of about a month of practice (3 practices in October). Which just reinforces how happy I am that we have this coaching staff. Unfortunately they are still behind schedule because of that cluster**** in October and those tight losses, but if we can continue improving and opening it up, actually play turnover-free football and get those injured players slowly back then there is a shot to end the season with a winning streak and above .500. Granted a lot has to go our way and we will have to create our own luck but there is a path.

On defense we have seen that JC Jackson is not quite the #1 corner yet and that Gilmore has a valuable place that makes the secondary work. Still kudos to JC to fight through it and come up with a huge turnover at a critical moment.

The run defense is what it is until they get Guy and Bentley back. It is just a schematic mismatch for any professional football team to be able to run into sub defense at will. Allen getting injured, Hightower opting out and now the injuries really left them with zero depth.

I know (and frankly don't care) that it was just the Jets. It was still great sign to see a team turning a game around at a point where they were 10 down with 6min to go.

To everyone cheering for a tank or losses go screw yourselves.

He was drafted in the top 10...so yeah, the Pats could theoretically find the next Mahomes but it's a lot easier if it's in the top 5.

The entire story of top 5 picks being so essential in terms of picking up a QB is just a moronic narrative. Of course there are the rare generational talents at QB but either you are drafting at #1 or it literally doesn't matter because you won't get that player. And even then the annual draft hype machine overrates those players and we finds one of them "can't miss talents" almost every year.

And yet if you look at your list how many of those have actually panned out in terms of ROI when it comes to a top 3 pick.

Go ask Matt Light. He has the answer.

Again, this should have been a two fold approach. One, you possibly stay in the running for Lawrence. Two, you by losing the rest of the season ensure the Jete don't get him. Period.

Instead, Bill, who won't be here in 5 years probably, doesn't give a bleep. That is a fireable offense. Go look up Breers tweet regarding the Jets tanking. Went something like "It was nice to see the Jets play hard all the while keeping the greater good in mind".

Huh imagine that play hard by tactfully tank at moments to make it look good. Bill is gonna leave the Pats in a horrible position.

Don't know Albert Breers, when and where did he play in the NFL?

Once you decide to lose, why not just quit at that point in time and take the rest of the games as a forfiet and a loss?

There are so many variables in the team sport of football from the player to the owner that it's impossible IMO to determine what a 1st round draft pick at QB will bring to the table with your team.

Point being a 5 win season team with a lower draft pick at QB could be more effective for your overall gameplan of winning over a 2,1 or 0 win season for a team picking a higher drafted QB.

Bottom line, if you don't play to win as a professional athlete, you aren't a professional athlete. Analytics as far as I'm aware don't take players intentionally losing into consideration. If you know otherwise, would love to see the data.

Do you seriously think that Joe Flacco was thinking "oh crap, another touchdown pass, now we can't draft a guy to replace me?".

You kind of remind me of some philly fans who wanted Reid gone because he had a loosing season.

Cam is not the way forward. Do actually like having a QB with 2 passing TDs in 7 games?

Brady had virtually the same WRs and TEs so you can quit blaming them for Cams poor play. The Pats just beat a team that wants to go 0 - 16 and high IQ football people are celebrating this victory.
Keep telling yourself Brady had this same lineup lol. Michel was better, A better more healthy Edelman, Dorsett whois better than any active WR, a halfway decent defense that can get pressure and a better more healthy OL. Stop it dude. And no one is celebrating, Brady would suck with this trash offense as well lol, thats why he left, no?????? Why does Josh call all running plays in the red zone? Cause no one can make a play in the red zone .... not the same my friend, sorry..

Yep. Those with the sacks he took, and the terrible deep pass, he did just that. The Jets had that game won, then oops too many men on a field goal block. Then the sacks. Then the crappy zone D that left Meyers wide open on 3rd and a million.

Yeah they got out to a big lead, said oh sh*t and then let the Pats win.

Having a great front d line helps your lb corp and having an elite secondary helps.

Get them a NT and the defense will rock.
Ooo

Yeah, no. Why are you even here if you dont want to see the team win? The 12 men penalty had no effect because they got the stop anyway. This team is not thay bad, they are a few bad breaks from being 6-2 or even 7-1

What makes you think JaWrong would've made a positive difference? Dude feckin sucks.

I've got to ask, what motivates Joe Flacco to lose as a professional athlete?

Now, if the coach were to substitute keys players for long periods of time, there may be some questions on the coaching staff.

If an when it ever gets to a point where the ownership and general management of a professional sports team arrange to lose games for better draft picks, that team has a whole lot more issues that what one draft pick can bring them IMO. NO ONE has a crystal ball to know exactly how top draft pics will play as a professional athlete.
