Probably means nothing but there have been no reports about Jeff Thomas signing with another team and both his twitter and IG accounts still say Patriots WR/Patriots.

Update on Thomas' social media accounts, as of 10 min ago. It is also strange/unusual that he hasn't signed on with another team. Not giving up hope yet (insert Dumb and Dumber meme/GIF here).

He clearly has been dealing with some type of minor injury and we have no idea how much he has actually practiced over the past week. It is possible that BB told him that they need healthy bodies in practice, in order to properly prepare for the dolphins. "Stay in the area, sit tight, stay off social media, focus on getting healthy and your conditioning and we'll add you to the PS when you are 100%". That would also give BB and the coaches time to further evaluate some of the other young players currently on the practice squad.

Maybe this is just wishful thinking but it isn't out of the realm of possibility, particularly given the lack of news about him so far. PS squad salaries are set by the league as of this year, so the possibility of a bidding war by other teams doesn't exist.

What I do know is that they don't have anyone on their roster who can do this…and he was still in high school at the time, I believe. I like is response to the clip too (if not his mastery of the written word): A14565FF-1422-468E-BA93-D3A8BBCD7629.jpeg

I’m sure someone will sign Thomas to a PS at least.
Too much raw talent not to.
I don’t trust this team to evaluate any WR.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this bites us in the ass.
The entire NFL already passed on Thomas once when they let the Patriots have him for a $2500 signing bonus and no guaranteed salary. According to the money, he tied with Lewerke as the least desirable of the Patriots’ initial wave of UDFA signings. Without any new information to go off (especially since he missed so much practice), I’m not sure why teams would have a higher opinion of him now. The only good thing to say is that he managed to not get kicked off the team sooner like he did in college.

There was a post that said Thomas' Instagram still says NE Patriots wide receiver. There is still hope @ChrisR2223. He may be nicked up still and they will bring him back when healthy.

Belichick is bragging about having two good kickers on the practice squad.
How about getting two good wide receivers and two good tight ends for
Cam Newton to throw to. Ones that can get separation.

Maybe, but if the team had plans for Thomas you would think they would have used one of the 16 practice squad spots just so he could be around the team.

I thought he was practicing right before cutdown so he can't be that hurt.

Obviously the rest of the league doesn't share your disdain for BB, so Jeff Thomas failing to make a weak Pats WR group is a death sentence to objective observers, especially given he was already poorly thought of as evidenced by his ridiculously low UDFA contract..

Those are pretty sick numbers. I think a lot of guys do not train correctly for the combine and then adjust for the pro day. The diff between 4.65 and 4.36 is massive. I would guess his natural speed is somewhere in between.

malcolm Butler ran a 4.6 at his pro day. He is faster than that, but It happens.

Should of just paid Shelton

One of the rating websites, I can't remember which one, rated Beau Allen higher last year than Shelton. Could have been a garbage rating, but Allen is an effort guy. I think they paid Allen as much as Shelton but. ant remember for sure.

Yes! Baby Dion.

JJ Taylor keeps the streak alive if he sticks for game one which means we always get a decent shot of the top undrafted guys like Jeff Thomas.
