The Niners picked the wrong time to fall apart defensively.

On the deep throw to Hill, the end took a funky angle and had to chop his feet and come back inside to make the hit on Mahomes; that split second was all he needed to get the throw off. Coverage was questionable, too.

Not much that could've been done on the DPI call. Yes, I guess it was technically DPI, but it was a Manning/Flacco special, where you essentially have no option other than to do what the DB did. It's a problematic call because the defender has no other option besides giving up the catch.

Mahomes realistically should have been finding those holes all game but San Fran’s whipped their OL up front. KC’s OL has been having trouble with their speed and stunts all game. But then Bosa came out with that hand injury and suddenly he can hit Hill deep. KC might sneak this out if San Fran’s gassed up front.
