One of my favorite sports bar moments.

A packed bar, mostly Raiders fans still bitter about the then-recent snow bowl. Everybody openly rooting for Indy.

1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down: yeeaaahhh-awwwww.

4th down: YEEAAAHHH...(silence)...YEAAHHHHH! That last part was me and one other Pats fan loudly cutting the silence, drawing stares with a "**** those guys" look. Loved it.

Regards,
Chris

My 2nd favorite part is that the play prior (or 2 as he had to sit out) he had to have time for his "injury" and then came back and jumped out like he just had 4 weeks of rest :D

I was in Indy for that game with a friend that was a colts fan . It was so much fun and then it was back and forth. I remember just before the half Indy had a TD drive that cut the deficit and had the place rocking just to have the wind taken out of their sails as we got a kickoff return for a TD and then it was halftime! What a great game Oh the memories!

Loved that. And then sprinted the length of the field in celebration.

I was a senior in high school and had completely forgotten that this game was this late into the season. I watched this at the Ale House with my dad.

We were in the market for a rescue dog from the South after some sort of disaster, but never pulled the trigger on that idea.. we were to name him "Willie"..

Shortly thereafter did get a local rescue dog and named him "Tedy B."..

If I remember correctly there was a lot of whining and hangwringing by whiny Colts fans and national media as they claimed Willie faked his injury..

I bet that bar wasn’t in “Sunnyvale”!

Let’s be fair - he totally did!

Law was putting a little showmanship into his limping as well...... until he noticed Willie was down. :D

In fairness to those guys, Willie could have been taken off the field entirely and Edge wasn't going anywhere. Big Ted had already seen to that, Mac just finished it off.

One of my favorite memories about that game was a stunned Rodney Harrison coming to terms with the team's penchant for making the deciding play. I must have read his comments a dozen times, it was really eye opening.

You remember correctly. I was an AOLe at the time and the Indiots there were whining about Willie too. Ahhhhhhh... good days that have since gotten even better.

Full game:

Thanks for sharing that. I ended up going through it a little and it jogged my memory.

I had forgotten how bad of a whiner Manning was back then. It also reminded me of the pre-Manning days when analysts would criticize a QB for having happy feet.

It also brought back memories of many great plays and players. We've been blessed for sure.

Do you mean “Ted Washington Stop Day”??

Watch the video again.

That was the last Patriots game I watched on tape delay. That weekend, I had to travel to see the in-laws....and was unable to see the game. So, I taped it...and went completely dark....didn't look at the Internet, ignored TV's at the airport, and did not talk to anyone...thank god I didn't have a smart phone in those days.

So, I get home...put the game on...fast forward through commercials...and that was the greatest 2 hours of sports I ever watched on tape! I was so nervous of over fast forwarding that I let the last 10 minutes play out with commercials...
