Not that Brady couldn't pull a BB and purposely throw off other teams, but it's unlikely a guy in his position would misdiagnose the injury.

Q: How much will this team miss Sammy Morris?

TB: We’ll see. We’ll see. You know, Sammy’s done a great job. There’s no doubt about that. I’m sure he’d love to play this week. We’ll see how that goes. We’ll see how his shoulder does and, hopefully, he’s back out there as soon as he can get back out there.

I'd think from that then, that he's got a separated, if not dislocated shoulder, which would explain the sling far better than a sternum injury. Either way that's 2 weeks out minimum to a month.

sounds optimistic...I really did not think this was an IR situation...if it had been he would have been IRed by Tuesday...

Brady 'misdiagnose'?
People please, Brady is not a doctor and he was likely speaking colloqually and imprecisely. Do not read much into an off-hand response.

We all hope he returns ASAP. Hobbs called it a chest injury. Maybe somone can research the medical knowledge of Brady and Hobbs and determine who is more likely to be correct....

Well, while watching the game again last night I watched (3 times) the part where Morris is walking off the field and into the locker room. Both of his arms were moving in a normal fashion as he took each step. After watching his arms very closely, I doubt he has a dislocated shoulder or an arm injury.

It seems an injury to the Sternoclavicular joint would be much more likely.

A shoulder separation is not the same as a dislocated shoulder. A shoulder separation is an injury to the A-C joint, which is the connection between the clavicle and the scapula (shoulder blade). This is another ligamental/soft tissue injury and can heal in a couple of weeks or much longer depending on the severity (or grade) of the injury.

You can swing your arm with a separation - the pain comes when you try to exert forward force with it or lift your arm up.

Here's some decent pictures: http://academic.wsc.edu/faculty/jatodd1/351/ch7outline.html

That was where he was pointing to laying on the field. Can that be a season ending injury??

Whether or not they have "medical knowledge" is irrelevent. The fact Brady and Hobbs are in the locker room, around Sammy and in the know is quite relevent. I don't think anyone would need to do any research on that.

Let's check into each of their Wonderlic scores - that should be a true indication of their smarts. LOL.

Maybe he'll be back for the Nov 4th game with Indy?

Who knows?

He's not?

Fortunately 80% of Patsfan posters are MDs.

Or witch doctors.:bricks:

He'll be back soon....how soon?? THAT is hard to say...it's NOT a season ending injury..I think THAt is true...3-4 weeks?? more?? time will tell... It is interesting to speculate as to what where and to try and diagnose..but...it's from afar..and while interesting...may be off the mark...but with not much to talk about...a good thread..

Morris: I think I broke my effin Sternoclavicular joint

Brady: He thinks he broke his effin Sternoclavicular joint

Everybody at Patsfans: He thinks he broke his effin Sternoclavicular joint

BB: He is on the effin injury report, There is not really anything to add to that.
