So my buddy is a filmmaker and he's headed to Foxboro to spend the day with AB to do some sort of documentary at his airbnb lol

Tell him to ask AB if I can borrow Eric B while he's out of a job, got some things for which I could use a loyal henchman

About half this forum did the same. Hell, even Freaking NIKE dropped him. I think one has to kill a puppy in order to be dropped by NIKE.

.

Well they did drop the American flag without much of a second thought.

people keep saying he put up pics or posted pics of her children. No true. She posted pics of her children on IG, AB texted that pic that he got from a public forum. It was to prove she was broke.
The spin on this is amazing..like he was threatening her family. The guy is scum, yes...but some people spin everything 180 degrees.

edit...and she is the one who made her kids more visible by showing AB's text to Klemco

This is really irrelevant. There was no reason he needed to send pics of her children. If he wanted to post a photo of her, fine. Wtf he is sending pics of her kids to his group while telling them to investigate her? While the woman is in the group? They didn’t know her or her instagram to have access to that information and he freely provided it for them for his ‘investigation’. Do they need to know what the kids look like to look into her background? Stop trying to rationalize his ********.

WTF..
Are you not innocent until proven guilty in the US
I don’t know why people keep coming back to this. So what ? He didn’t get charged and he is still free.

The Patriots aren’t obliged to employ every non-criminal in the country. Just like AB is free to go about his life, the Patriots are free to run their business as they see fit within the rules established by the league.

“Innocent people” can be trouble. AB became too much trouble a long time ago.

He will be back. You’ve read it here first.
Not anytime soon. This may be it for him. Being cut by the Pats like he was is as good as getting the Kaepernick kiss. You also read it here first.
His summer of self destruction has garnered a lot of disdain for him but he is not self aware to understand his situation.

I don't understand why some people are denigrating BB on this. When they signed him, all they (or really anyone else) knew was that AB was crazy. Uber-talented but crazy. Ok, crazy you can probably live with. Fans of other teams in their anger that the Pats got much better even accused BB of tampering - "It's not fair!". Pundits said it would be a reasonable gamble for NE because BB won't stand for that crap and if AB does stuff, BB will just cut him. It was only AFTER they signed him that the rape allegation came out. BB probably wanted to let that process play out a little. It was only after AB started doing stuff as a Patriot that they cut him. Just like people said he (BB) would.

So they took a chance, it didn't pay off, and they cut him quickly (after just 11 days). The Pats move on, a little poorer in cash, but otherwise, not a big deal. What, exactly, did BB do wrong here?

How will Sportstalk "gin up" hysteria and keep the "fans" calling so they can hang up o them.. here is an idea start some crap about how "BB is not a nice person" Ted Johnson says so.. Oops they already started that BS..

Echo Auto is a great addition to that line, and a great diversion from Sports Talk controversies..

FWIW #12 had nothing to do with the decision to acquire or dump AB, that has never been Brady's role.. I suspect that Kraft was a driving force on this matter, enough is enough.

So does Calhoun have the flu or what?

The point is, he texted this person, after they told him not to, and even if they didn't directly, it was spelled out in his contract.

He got one chance. He blew it. He got cut. You know, exactly like what so many people said would happen if it didn't work out.

Pretty simple. Brown got another chance in NE, a clean slate. They welcomed him, the GOAT offered him a home, they gave him early, easy targets in the Miami game, and he pissed it all away with his stupid, menacing IG post. He became a big distraction and now he’s gone. They’re on to the Jets.
Yep, it's not really a matter of Innocent vs Guilty here: Bill I'm pretty sure had told him upon the release of the civil suit charges - if not upon his very signing - to cut out the stupid anti-social media bullsh!t until everything calmed down, but Clowntonio disobeyed him...and it is for that reason - and that reason Alone - why he is no longer a WR for the NEP...don't think Bill really cares about the "pictures of her children" angle...you just don't say one thing to him and then do something else...if you do, you're gone...simple as that.

I was hoping he’d make it one year but get benched in the super bowl

For all the posters that hated AB, think he is a POS, and are happy he got released, you were right, now let it go so we can put this sordid affair and multiple threads to rest. Let's move on to football, the OL, lack of running game, Devlin being out, etc.

For one thing, we can't now and couldn't then afford to be "a little poorer in cash" as in precious salary cap space...that space needed to be saved for somebody who could've Actually helped us, such as Trent Williams, a professional Backup Center, and whichever TE might be on the block before the trade deadline.

So No it isn't "not a big deal"...it's a very big deal, possibly a season-ending one if we can't afford help if/when it becomes available.

It’s about football. If you’re headed to the exempt list and then likely suspension for 6-8 games at the very least, you’re of no use to the Patriots. Time to move on.

That can be said about any signing. When BB made the move, nobody (well, AB did) knew about the rape issue. He just seemed like a crazy dude that they could get for a modest salary and without trading away anything.

Worth the risk. Definitely a risk as yes, they lose some cap space. And stop with the Trent Williams stuff...has there been ANY indication that they have had ANY shot at acquiring him?

I tend to agree. It's still only a civil suit, if that goes away some team will pick him up. Texts were stupid, but didn't find them suspension worthy.

The texts were far more than “ stupid” they were intended to intimidate, and are borderline criminal. As I said in another post he’s a malignant narcissist, he believes the world rotates around him, he has no conscience and absolutely no sense of personal responsibility. He will always blame others and he’s incapable of thinking critically because that would puncture his image of himself. Good riddance.

The longer his holdout continues the more likelihood they cut their losses and move him, however Bruce Allen hates Belichick and wouldn’t want to deal him here.

well, you don't need to read the AB thread if you don't want to..just saying

I just want to be spared the cluelessness (hopefully that’s all it is) of the “Well, she already had those pix on social media so he didn’t do anything wrong putting them in the texts” people.

The problem isn’t that the pictures were available on social media.

The problem is that Brown took the effort to go grab a copy and include them in a group text, including the kids’ mother, that was sent to some of his flunkies (one an ex-con) telling them to go dig up stuff on her. If that is not an outright veiled threat it certainly can reasonably be interpreted as one.

I’d love to know how many of you keyboard warriors would really sit back and say “ah, no big deal” if someone you had a dispute with sent you a text with pictures of your kids and instructions to other people in the text to dig up dirt on you.
