17 i thought immediately about Dobson...

It's what her parents and brother, who are close friends of mine, told me since they were in the room with her.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Some of you have a problem.
The problem people have is asking if you personally heard the story from her or if you heard it from others? You heard it from others. Doesn't make it any less believable. Of course I have heard the exact same story, so we may know the same people or it may have happened to multiple people or it may simply be urban legend. We don't know you and questioning who you heard it from doesn't make someone a bad person.

Getting black out drunk with people you don't know and trust is bad regardless of if you are a man or woman. Anytime you aren't in control of yourself isn't good.

Calling people out about it isn't really a good way to foster a discussion.

Ha! This was my prediction, that he picks a number in the teens as a sign of team unity. If this doesn't convince you that he didn't do anything wrong, ever, then you are a communist for sure.

10 - Gordon
11 - Edelman
13 - Dorsett
15 - Harry
16 - Meyers
17 - Brown
18 - Slater
19 - Meredith

You were all over this one from the start. I hope that you’re correct and that it’s a sign of unity amongst the WR group.

Poor Gunner...

She at least talked to the police, and that trip to the station would be on the record. If Brown's accuser had done that, people would much more easily tend to believe her. Instead, she remained Brown's pal. I bet that the woman you know wasn't chummy with her attackers afterwards.

It sort of matters since your personal anecdote is not yours but repeating what you were told. Two people independently saying the same thing is more persuasive than one.

It is exactly the same as saying I know about the Brown case because his accuser told me, vs saying I know about the case because I was there and have independent information that matches hers.

Everyone here has exactly the same firsthand information you have.

Maybe all it takes is a whole lot of crazy to break the #17 curse

17 should be burned in a ritual ceremony where all the past players who wore 17 cut their finger and bleed into a cup that Belichick drinks while anything and everything associated with 17 is burned and then the ashes spread across avacado ice cream that Tom eats.

BB's red hoodie should be burned too (If it hasn't already). Just as long as he never wears it during a game again.

How many don’t file police reports than more than a year later file a money grab civil suit?

I don’t think the issue where a women fears embarrassment, retribution, being questioned about telling the truth and just wanting the whole thing to go away applies much to someone who files a civil suit asking for millions and goes public with it.

And also in most cases the “victim” wasn’t try to con the "assailaint" out of $1.6 million. I think we should be looking at the specifics of this case rather than other cases or generalities.

Any major news organization that points out the videos and their inconsistency of her story with them will be accused of being rape apologists, blaming the victim, etc. It’s simply the culture we live in.

Well, I guess you may have a point. Certainly it is difficult to explain otherwise.

So now Felger and Mazz want AB suspended, placed on Goodel's list, released, based on AB text messages...

I wish Felcher and Azz would go away.

Why would that particular woman lie in that case? The only possible reason would be to avoid the shame of having a threesome, which would be the only other possible act besides rape. In that case, it's a sexually repressive culture that's ultimately to blame. Obviously she would also be at fault for lying, but the only reason she would lie in that instance would be fear of being seen as a "slut."

There are a lot of layers to this issue. It's not just about vindictive women, some victims are perfectly well-intentioned but living in a society that shames them for sexual openness while applauding men for the same type of behavior.

But that's just one instance and they all have to be approached in context.
She may not be lying at all, her account of events may be completely accurate. But I’m saying that if someone is going to say “I know this happened because I’ve seen it happen” it relevant whether they actually saw it happen or they are just relaying what they were told. I now can back up his story just as much as he can in that I can repeat what I was told about it.

As to why her account could be inaccurate- She may have been told by the police the case is difficult to prove and got discouraged and took that as they wouldn’t take it seriously.

I hope none of the above happen and he skewers the NFL on the field. I’d love for them to moan and ***** all season.

You can make them go away by stop watching or listening to them. Works for me.

I don't watch them but their asinine takes wind up on this forum just about every day.
