It's easy, and only takes a few moments. If im Jerry Jones Im offering Dak the Jacoby contract and asking him to find a better deal.Good for Zeke for getting this money. After taxes, missing games due to injury, taking care of his family and homies, bad investments etc he'll be lucky to see 1/3rd of this.
I really don't know how they will handle Dak. Hes competent but not elite. Dak needs Zeke to be successful. Are they really going to tie up 30% of their cap on two players?
Overpay, but of the 2 players I’d pay 90 over 6 to zeke than the reported 40 mil a year that Dak wants.
Tough roster decisions when you don’t have an elite QB.Personally I think that is crazy money for a RB even if he is damn good. But as long a the cap keeps growing and drafted players remain a cheap labor force for 3-5 years. Also lets see how healthy he stays as the hits accumulate.
Hes a slightly above average QB. If DAL gives him $40m guaranteed they are absolutely crazyIf im Jerry Jones Im offering Dak the Jacoby contract and asking him to find a better deal.
Spoiler alert he wont be able to.
The team crusher will be when Jerrah opens the vault for Ordinary Dak.
If you look around the league at this point, how many "franchise" QBs are there? Compared to Brady and Manning Romo doesn't look like much at all. But he's holding his own in the 2nd tier -- and even that 2nd tier is pretty scanty.
Consider the lineup of supposed "up-and-coming," "he's-young-give-him-time," "NFL's future" guys: Campbell, Cutler, E. Manning, Rivers, Young. Every one is a 1st-round pick, most have more game experience than Romo, and he's clearly outplaying every one of them.
The chances of finding a better QB than Romo are slim, you have to cross your fingers and do this deal.
I don't dislike any of the players Dallas has been extending (Zeke, Smith, Collins, Lawrence) but they're going to be WAAAAY too top heavy in a couple seasons.
