I do mean VERY slightly.. Not much of a big deal, but the AFC South got a little easier, slightly increasing the odds of that division's winner getting a slightly better record and competing a little bit more for one one of the byes.

Pats 14-2 tho so won't matter.

Waste of a thread, no?
Yes, no.

Most posters don't run to make a thread every time a question or soft thought pops in their head. Sometimes it's to inform or educate fellow patsfans not just to get a reaction (there aren't many of us in the 3rd Grade) or use it instead of a therapy session with your psychiatrist.

If you felt better by posting it, it wasn't a waste

Personally i don't mind all the threads u create, it's way better than not having anything. But then again, I'm not a mod here

EDIT - also, to answer your question: err maybe? There is no way of knowing for certain

Go have a group hug.

He does have a point . Houston very nearly got the 2 seed over us last yesr and they really aren’t that good. Had they swept indy they would have gotten the bye.

The Colts were the type of team who had an live outside chance at a bye week now i can't see the AFC South winner having more than 10 wins.

The Titans have QB issues, the Texans offensive line is a disaster and nobody is sure what Nick Foles you're gonna get outside of Philly.

9-7 / 10-6 wins AFC South now.

Meh. You can't control what other teams do, you can only control what you do. Play better on the road.

At least you admit the Jets will beat ya twice.

I disagree with the logic. The team most thought was the best in the division (a team which finished the season 9-1 last year once Luck came back) has gotten worse. So sure, Houston/Tenn/Jax can expect to do a little better but, overall, the division's best record has likely decreased or, at most, stayed the same.

Houston just missed the bye over us last year as Patsy posted and they lost to Indy one time. Like I said if we do our 13 or 14 wins we are fine. It is just if we do 11 wins again that it could hurt

It's a new NFL year...as BB said, "Shoulda coulda woulda is for losers."*

*or something similar.

Meh. Control what you can has always been the Patriots' motto.

Bit of a dumb premise for a thread. What happened last year has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this year.

It's like saying had some other team traded for Jason McCourty Rams win the SB.

FYI Texans didn't get the 2 seed because they lost to the Pats. So this hypothetical is moot. "Well if the Texans won one more game", ya and if the Pats made a tackle in Miami they would have won one more game and been the 1 seed.

FWIW, Jax now has a SB MVP at starting QB. They beat the Steelers on the road in the playoffs with Blake Bortles as their QB.

I wouldn't bet against them winning the division and getting a bye.

This is not a team I would relish facing in the playoffs.

As Bill Belichick once said, “F*** B****es get money.”

It certainly makes it easier for Houston or Jacksonville. Tennessee is trash with Mariota at QB.
