...what?

Denigration, dismissal, contempt and hatred of the Patriots has been rampant in local and national media, in the league and of course among opponents and their fans since the Beatles broke up. Please.

Just from 2001-2006, when we started winning titles, there is an encyclopedia of trashing that dwarfs any and all criticism ever directed at the half dozen NFL dynasties that preceded us, combined.

This led to FakeGate I by new commissioner Goodell in September 2007.
Nah, I disagree. Public sentiment was pretty much on our side in the first Super Bowl. Underdogs are always public favorites.

For us, the Patriots, that lasted shorter than Rosie Ruiz' underdog victory. Yeah, some people liked the feel good story, but the thundering stupidity about the Tuck Rule and Squealers' wailing were indicative that this was going to be a disputed, denigrated run, no matter how long it lasted.

The defending champs Pats were given only a fraction of the leeway and cred of all other Super Bowl champs.

I admit sheep, I mean people are easily led by media, who desperately wanted '01 to be a one-and-done.

Ok, I'm going to be 'that guy' but only because when you say something like "that has NEVER happened" it challenges the rest of us to contradict this statement

So here's two that I came up with..........

2001 - Pats 12, Bills 9
2003 - Pats 9, Browns 6
My bad, I think I was thinking never happened in the playoffs and that somehow became playoffs and regular season. Thanks for the correction.
