Texans fire GM. Could impact Patriots

Texans can f*ck off with their poaching. Not like they've accomplished much with doing so anyway.

Time for the Texans to develop their own talent!

I feel like this time of the year is all about the coaches.

This is why I really don’t see this happening. Caserio’s responsibilities go beyond personnel only. On multiple occasions, it’s been mentioned that Caserio is also involved in practices and is up in the booth during games. Doing what is a State secret, but I don’t see Belichick allowing that to be disrupted by the Texans having a rift between the HC and GM resulting in the canning of the GM just weeks before TC especially with the turnover in the coaching staff this offseason.

Caserio doesn’t need this job. If he wants to move on, there will be better opportunities next offseason.

I remember hearing Mcdaniels and Caserio are joined at the hip.
That is the future leadership in New England.
Monty would be smart to take the promotion if it's offered to him either here or there if Caserio surprises and leaves.
However we would be in good hands with Monty.

Also nobody mentioned the fact that maybe pioli comes back here or to Houston.
It's very interesting indeed.
I think Pioli is going to HOU.

Nikki Cas isn't going anywhere

I wouldn't think so. Seems to me the time for firing/hiring is right after the regular season. Now is the time for GMs to consolidate everything that's been brought together via coaching hires, the draft and free agency.

That would be the best time imo. If a team decides to go in another direction it makes little sense to fire and hire a GM after the draft.

I doubt the Pats give permission to anyone in June.
Agreed. Give me a break, Texans. Frankly, asking permission to poach someone else's coach or executive should not be allowed after the draft each year.

Albert Breer at the time thought it was "the coolest thing (he'd) ever seen."
That's what happens when you never leave high school...

Yeah. I am honestly surprised it isn't against the rules.

Pats should say no unless he expresses interest.
I don't want those dirty Texans getting their hands on him.

I have to think the plan is a nick and Josh collaboration to fill in for BB one day.

Given that he has now outlasted two GMs in the space of a year, its time to put Bill O’Brien in the Hue Jackson/Adam Gase category of “better at winning intraorganizational power struggles than actually coaching”.
