It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Fair enough, BUT...We're talking about two teams here, the Patriots and Colts. We made fun of the Colts for picking a WR when their need was a DT. Now we need a WR (hence re-signing Dorsett) and don't need two mediocre DTs (Brown and Shelton).
Good for Malcom Brown, who certainly seems to be a nice young man, as well as a mediocre defensive lineman.
Yeah, what a disappointment. A placeholder and little more.Malcom Brown... underrated as far as disappointing/underachieving Pats. He’s had a terrible career here.

So I remember all of us gleefully mocking the Colts for picking Dorsett over Brown.
I guess we have to eat some crow now.
Food for thought

Mediocre doesn't mean bad, doesn't mean good. I think Brown is the definition of mediocre.
dang we're losing all our Free agents
Sarcasm??
Id serious, outside of Flowers who has been lost that will be difficult to replace?
Patterson? (While not an exact 1:1 replacement, Bolden is that utility guy that is, IMHO, a nice pickup)
Brown DT? (If we can't replace a mediocre DT (paging Sealver Siegler [spelling]) then our FA losses are small against a more systemic problem.)
Rowe?
Hogan?
Allen?
That's who has been lost. Again outside of Flowers who has a contribution level that is too steep to replace? And Bennett + the money saved for other players may be, maybe, the better deal.
Yes, Brown the LT is a loss, no doubt, but 1. his cost made it unwise for the wallet lean Patriots, 2. in theory we have a replacement ready.
FA isn't over yet and it could get worse. It could also get better. But even modest dread over that list is unwarranted
It's a shame he turned out to be a mega bust..
If you think Malcom Brown was a "mega bust," then you're essentially saying these words have no meaning.
He was a mediocre defensive lineman, arguably a rotational player at best. For a 1st round pick, that is a bust especially when you compare him to other defensive lineman we've drafted in the 1st round
