even more soundbites i didnt see in other clips in turning point and elsewhere
Mmmmmmmmmmmm... 25:51.
(though not enough bounce to be real)
BB seemed very hesitant about sending Gost out for the FG. Not a good sign moving forward for Gost.
Wouldn't it be Judge?Over the headset he was asking someone if they were 'good with a fg'. Was it Ernie Adams' advice he was seeking?

The FG doesn't matter if you never give the other team the ball back. If you miss the FG the Rams have the ball with a chance to tie. BB or Brady made the right call to trust Gost but given another kicker like Parkey or something it would be easy to think gaining the few inches was a higher percentage play.I still can't believe that was an actual discussion. Under what scenario would not going up 2 scores be the right choice?

That night in the moment I debated with myself what the right call was.

I still think going up by 10 all but guarantees the victory in the same way being able to run out the clock does. Even another Miami Miracle would have required an additional one to tie the game.
You're right that if you have a kicker you don't trust the decision becomes closer, but you'd really like to think Gostkowski has that level of trust here by now after all he's done (and I've been one of his more vocal critics over the years). For the 2018 Patriots, a team that had trouble converting 4th and short in the past, it seemed to be a no brainer to me.

I got into it with my friends and family that I was watching the game with. Nothing to talk about, take two score lead. That left the Rams with about 1:10 left, a 23 yr old kid QB and no time outs. No way they were gonna convert 10 points when they haven't even sniffed the red zone yet. To your point, even a Miami Miracle required another possession.I still think going up by 10 all but guarantees the victory in the same way being able to run out the clock does.
