Are the Colts a better team than last year?

A biased source from a Indianapolis hick sports writer, no less.

You are a liar since you claim assertions that none of the following legitimate draft sources make ..........

Scouts, Inc.
Mel Kiper Jr.
NFL Draft Scout
NFL Draft Countdown

You have refuted NOTHING!

Tom e-mailed me back:

when i wrote that story, i was going on information from nfl scouts that i
know and from national media people who specialize in covering the nfl draft. i
checked with those people to get their thoughts on ed johnson and where he
maight have been draft had he not gotten into those off-field situations at
penn state. perhaps i should have stated that many thought he was a first-day
talent or had first-day skills.

So far, best I can do.

It's a big if whether this Johnson clown can even stay out of jail before the end of the season. Ask the Bungles organization about character let alone talent.

Ed Johnson is no Tommy Kelly, who was a legitimate third round selection in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Not sure if he's a clown, but certainly have to keep his past in mind. He might not be Tommy Kelly, but apparently, he's no Quinn Pit**** either. The draft apparently wasn't as "deep" this year as in years past, so that might also be a consideration.

I wouldn't short change Pitcock because I thought that was a very good selection by Polian at the end of the third round. I'm surprised the Ohio State defensive tackle is not starting over Raheem Brock, who is completely undersized at the position.

Maybe in a year or two. Certainly folks were high on him going in, but guys like Josh Thomas, Jeff Charleston, Darrel Reid, and Keyunta Dawson (rookie 7th round) are getting PT over Pitc0ck. I don't think he's even made a gameday roster yet.

Here is a little more from Tom in an e-mail to me:

....tony and bill both mentioned during the spring ota's basically the
same thing that i had heard from the nfl scouts and national writers that i
know.....that johnson was a first-day talent (most likely a third-rounder, at
best)....but that he had enough ability to warrant bringing him in for a
look-see and then go from there....
