Back when football was football.

Joe Kapp. Former Minnesota QB but also played for the Patriots. Ever watch that guy play? When I see old footage of him, I think he was loco.

Funny part is listening to some of the music NFL Films used compared to now.

Look at his stats for the one year he player for the Pats 1970, 1-9 record. 3 TDs, 17 ints and 1100 yds in 10 games, sub 50%...Ugly and the worst part was that he was coming off a Super Bowl year with the Vikings but they didn't pick up his option making him a free agent and no team signed him...until the Pats did in September and ( just found this out) Rozelle forced the team to give up 2 first round picks to the Vikings as compensation... Anybody know any more of this???

As someone young enough to have grown up on Spongebob, the fact that it's literally the same music makes it hard to take seriously.

Watching those Bills SB highlights earlier, Jim Kelly sure did crap the bed for the most part wow.

Also titans rams SB is still one of the best ever.. That play near the end where McNair escapes 2 guys.. Still unreal, they should have won that game.

I was just talking with someone at work about how this era of the NFL compares to other periods. I started by saying I don’t think the league today is as good as it was from, say, 2003 to 2007. He agreed and also added that for him the golden era was the mid to late ‘80s and early 90s with those nfc powerhouses ... Cowboys, Niners, Redskins, Giants. So many great coaches and players. Hard to argue.

Anyway, just wanted to say I still got goosebumps when they showed Troy Brown making his big catch on the final drive of Super Bowl 36 this morning. A pulse pounding finish, even today.

Hell yea, also Law's pick return.. And the slow-mo's of Warner getting his ass kicked over and over..and the music when they're lining up /waiting for the final kick.. BB running down the sideline as it's going through.. All of it just awesome. Pure Pats Porn.

They just started Super Bowl 49 highlights. The narrator sounds like Batman.

Man watching Gronk in 2014 is like watching another player. Smooth and fast. He really has changed.
