...and he played 50something snaps. What the hell was I watching?

I had a family event yesterday and wasn't completely focused...:p

Yeah, 89% of the D-snaps. I'm trying like hell to avoid going away to Vermont for a family event next weekend.

For me it depends on the side of the family. My wife's side is a blast which is whom I was with yesterday. My folk's side (except my actual parents who I love seeing)....meh.

If its in fun part of VT make a weekend out of it? .....and bring booze :D

It’s depressing but Gronk looks cooked. He might as well be Dwayne Allen out there.

Honestly, as much as it pains me to think it, Manish have been right...

Brady was good today so was Gordon when he finally got a target.

Offense is spreading the ball around - red zone passing needs to be better:

Interception was just a good play by the Vikings D.

Defense was great.
If we’re honest, it was a horrible pass, not a good play. It was off target and Brady threw it under pressure.

But no one is perfect

You had 7 people that agreed and about 9 people incapable of being honest with themselves thought otherwise

No team can carry a beast that is hurt over 50% of every season. I would be surprised if Gronk is here next year

The game ended up as expected but the officiating was so bad and the spots so preposterous this crew should be lined up at dawn and offered the choice of blindfold or cigarette

Drawn and approximately quartered, depending on how they're counting the game clock.

He's long talked about "one more year" (this year,) not ruling out another year, but certainly not regarding it as guaranteed (by either party.)

And he's often hurt a lot. The question is really when he's hurt. It's a surprise bonus when we get to the SB and Gronk is healthy.

That said, he doesn't exactly play it safe out there. Physical style, physical pain.

Very impressive win altogether and the most complete game to date on both sides of the ball. Still some areas to improve upon but as a whole I think we should like the team’s chances in the AFC so long as health holds up.

and maineman, Wheelman, Wordsmyth et al..these posts aren't directed at you people. It's meant for these drive-by, pi$$ant, scary Marys that can't wait to unload on these threads after every single freaking game. I want to know what THEY want...jeezus krist it's getting ridiculous

Rainbows and unicorns?

Gronk played basically every snap yesterday.

I'd like to see a breakdown of how many times he ran routes vs pass protect vs run blocking.

Considering Brady stayed pretty clean and they ran the ball OK its fair to say he was pretty valuable out there.

With that said I agree with you. I don't see them paying Gronk $12m next year and I have no idea if he wants to do another year either.

Not sure if this was posted yet.

If he’s so tired of the Patriot way why didn’t he just except a trade last off-season or retire.

I am tired of Gronks BS this past year hurt or not his act is getting old quick.

So you believe this article?

I do think there is some truth to that article. It’s the same rhetoric that was being reported during the off-season.

IMO I think he retires this off-season.

I do agree Gronk was going through all kinds of emotions last year (mostly driven by his $ situation) but I'm not there yet in buying this piece.

Thought it was funny in Greg Bedard's post game analysis he said, referring to the offense in general (not the play calling).

"It’s painful to watch at times."

Pats are now...

9th in points allowed
4th in comp % against
6th in QB Rating against.

Was wondering where we were in pa now. 9 is pretty good especially when you consider how many short fields the other teams have had. Not sure if its recency bias on my end but it seems this year is way above the norm in handing opponent with great field position.
