The Josh Gordon Thread: Pats Officially Acquire Gordon for Fifth-Round Pick

Ian should consider creating a sub-section dedicated to the Dez/Gordon/Boston Sports Radio talk. Seems to be the talk of the town these days opposed to actual, legitimate, rational Patriots talk.

Dear God,

Please make it happen.

I’ve been waiting for this chapter in the saga for a while now. Worst case he gets banned forever as a Patriot. I’d rather have him blow it here than some ****hole team with subpar structure. He’s a MONSTER.

I'd rather have the guy who's roster spot he'd take. At least he's been here contributing in some way, and can be relied upon.

Whose spot would he take? Did you take his weed? What you smoking?

Naw i think not making the meeting was the last straw not him smoking more weed. I said that relationship was toxic. Sometimes you get tired being in the same place for a long time especially a team with a losing culture.

I disagree. If the Browns had reason to believe he turned over a new leaf in life they wouldn't cut him just because he was late to a meeting.

This is a guy who still has the potential to be a Randy Moss/Calvin Johnson type of player. They are not cutting him just because he was late. After all the time they invested in this guy and all they have put up with up to this point they wouldn't cut him for that reason. I don't see how that makes sense. Therefor I believe they have some other reason, and this is what they are announcing to the public in order to hopefully get something back before it's too late.

That’s my point. You take a chance with him and if he blows it here with the patriots his career’s basically finished. I don’t see how the patriots lose here. It’s a win win IMO.

You have surveyed everyone on the planet?

You never asked me.

I didn't have to. You put your ignorance on full display, right here in this thread.

Doesn't matter "who" it is. At least they've been here and buy into the patriot way.
*Hope you're admonished for insinuating I'm "smoking" something...MODS?*

You’re grasping for straws. Already teams calling for his services. I think the browns just got fed up with him.

Well we will never know for sure exactly why the Browns are releasing him/looking to trade him. We only know what they are publicly saying. I'm just telling you my take on the matter. If you disagree that's fine.

My prediction is this though. He will get popped sometime THIS YEAR if he does sign on with another team. That is something that is verifiable. We can see if that is actually the case or not.

I don’t see it. I say he makes the whole year. Let’s see where he lands. Hopefully it’s a winning spot and not some junk team.

The #Browns announced they are releasing Josh Gordon, but they may not get there. I’m told as many as five teams are researching possibly trading for Gordon. Cleveland has a market.

Now when Brady wants to change the play at the line of scrimmage to a GO rout from Gordon. We will here him yelling “Maui Waui” “Maui Waui” o_O

Now we don’t have to hope he falls to us through waivers, so we got that going for us, which is nice.

He won't go through waivers, apparently. Since he's a fully vested veteran he'd just go right to FA is what PFT is saying.

Please, it's impolite to interrupt adults in conversation. Besides, it is past your bedtime. Did you take your Saturday night bath?
His mom is spanking him as we speak.

My opinion: I feel if his head is on straight and healthy, Gordon will probably win us one extra game this season we might have lost. So instead of a 12-13 win team, we become a 13-14 win team. Not sure if that alone is worth the potential risk.

I am guessing that Dallas is one of those teams. Oakland maybe?

I am taking the giants, rams, bucs, lions out of the equation.
