Hogan’s a good complimentary receiver but we have seen his struggles against physical corners man to man. That’s why’s i am hoping some of these other receivers step up. A lot of people are expecting too much from Jules coming back from ACL.

Offense: same, though I would not yet place Trent Brown in the Top-End category until he has to protect Brady during the regular season; the Jacksonville game will be a Huge test for him.

I would've placed Cannon as a Top-End RT, but he is now officially Unreliable, likely for good.

Mason would be another candidate were it not for the whole pass-protection thingy.

Defense: McCourty - either of them - belongs nowhere near any Top-End list. Tre Flowers, however, does.

ST: nobody.
When he’s used properly (I.E., not playing in the box), Devin is one of the more effective safeties in the NFL. There’s no mystery that the ****shows we saw on defense against the pass from 2010 until early 2012 suddenly began to clear up when he moved to safety.

I love Hogan, but he’s ultimately a guy you’d want to have as your third option in the WR corps. He’ll be forced into WR1 status in the first four games which is why I’m expecting a slow start from him and probably the passing attack altogether.

Pats facing two very Stout D-Lines in Houston and Jacksonville early on. Hopefully we can assemble some sort of a run game wouldn't want to be one dimensional against those Teams.

I know what you are saying Kontra...but I think Hogan right now is a decent #2. I will say this there will be some Potentially decent WR's ie... Former First Rounders who haven't fired due to a number of reasons. Their respective teams might be ready to move on. My question is will it be too late for them on this Team?? I wonder if BB views this scenario as an option down the road for WR. P.s. is would take more than a Day 3 pick if the Pats are really interested.

Not sure I agree with this. 2 people were involved in the conversation and one relates what was said.
A person who wasn’t involved in the conversation says it never happened.
For him to know that, and be correct Bill Belichick would have had to sit down privately with Perry and tell him his player was lying. I cannot fathom that being remotely possible.

Except that is pretty much exactly what must have happened between Curran/Perry and BB at some point otherwise he would have not thrown it out there. Anyway it does literally not matter at all. Moving on.

Trade for Doctson or Treadwell id part with a fringe player or 5th.
Or my binkie Justin Hunter if he doesnt make the Steelers.

Chris what do you think about M.A.S.H units Breshad Perriman and Kevin White?? Those guys blazed some sizzling 40 times but it's been one injury after another. I think both might need a different scenario. P.s. I was very leery of Kevin White going as High as he did many moons ago off that 40 time those guys more times than not flame out alot.

Yes to White but the last Nagy wants to do is make Belichick look like he fleeced a new coach.

Can we pry golden Tate away? In the last year of his deal, would the lions clear space to get golladay more involved in the offense?
Would the Pats pay his $7m 2018 salary?

If Fat Matt is gonna cut him....

His agent is Todd France. Same agent as Eric Decker.

1 year 7 mil. He’s been productive to this point. If the price is right compensation wise and if they feel uncertainty at the wr position I’d do it.

"Genius" rating given because of the nickname Fat Matt.

Tate has been VERY productive. The Detroit press and fans say he is an elite route-runner.

Only BB, Caserio and Josh know how desperate they really are. I suspect they'll want to see the WR competition play out and see what Britt can finally do before pulling the trigger on Tate.

Providing Tate's knee is ok I suspect he'd do well here.

I’m hoping the staff has their answers after this game tonight. If we make a move I’m hoping its sooner rather than later just because this offense is tough to pick up and the wr would essentially have 1/2 a camp to pick it up before the season starts.

Hes incredibly unhealthy. I remember in "DYJ" they showed him at his desk with like 8 empty cans of Monster and Red Bull and a bag of Lays.

He must be 160/110 and cholesterol of 339.
