From a Northwestern U publication, they herald on of their alumni... a lot stuff we know from the Halberstam book, but a refresher for some of us..

Been to TC twice this year, and noted Ernie more involved on the field than previously noted, he seems to be a very keen observer of what is going on..

That was great. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Here's a pic from the old days...

Enjoyed reading that. Thanks

Here's a picture of the Most Valuable Napkin that EA smuggled out to me. If I have a mysterious accident, you'll know what was behind it.

Did not notice the date, but it does not make it less informative...
Just busting your chops.. Haven't had the chance to do it since they 86'ed the political forum.....

Ernie is awesome, don't want to take a thing away from him.

But I think it's also worth mentioning Belichick's part in all of this. Many organizations have really smart people who want to contribute. Belichick encourages it and doesn't feel threatened by it. He wants people to challenge him if they feel he's wrong. Not all leaders do. Many football coaches especially want "yes" men to surround them.

One of Ernie's roles seems to be the "red team," to constantly interrogate and challenge BB's ideas and gameplans. Think about that for a second. BB keeps a guy on staff to constantly challenge what he thinks. How many leaders are secure enough to do that?
