BB obviously reads Patsfans and got dismayed that the fans were so sad that we hadn’t drafted any linebackers and did us a solid. Or...unlike some here, he realises that the draft is 7 rounds long.

Because our LB depth isn’t lacking talent or anything. But yeah 6th round pick who probably won’t make the team solves everything!

Joe Ostman may be one to keep an eye on - an undersized not especially athletic pass rusher but has some Nink to his game. Very productive.

Man that article in the header up top "3 things to know about Christian Sam"...isn't a leader, and doesn't like to practice

As opposed to the four top LBs that went before we even picked?

not everything. We solved problems at OL, RB and CB with our first 3 picks. We picked up a backup OT for moving down 1 round (plus 2019 picks).
=======
We still wanted players to upgrade from Roberts, Langi and Richards.

We now have 2 players to push Roberts and Langi for roster spots.

Yes, Belichick will still be adding or trading for veterans.

Just as an FYI, only the Pats first three picks will earn enough in 2018 to hit the off-season cap. Bentley's cap hit and Sam's cap hit are already under the 51 bottom number. Same applies to anyone the Pats draft at #198 or #219.

The net hit to the off-season cap for Wynn, Michel and Dawson should be somewhere around $2.5M, after deducting the amounts of the three cap hits that will be pushed off the bottom of the 51 (Cardona, Grissom, Bolden).

Christian Sam has two things going for him. An awesome name, and coming from Teddy Bruschi land.

A few Iowa kids still avail. Wadley and Lazard

I guess that folks better at analysis than in past years. We actually can analyze each of the picks, and know what each can bring to the team. This is a long way from "who" and "WTF" picks.

Blanding would be an interesting pick. Pretty versatile at UVA handling roles of both safety spots, started for 4 years. Good size at 6’2” 207. Could push to be the 4th safety.

Well, there goes Deshon Elliott to the ratbirds.

Kinda shocked luke falk is still on the board at this point

So now for Jimmy G...according to Mike Hurley:

Duke Dawson
Christian Sam
2019 second-round pick from Chicago
2019 third-round pick from Detroit

Auden Tate is pretty good with a ton of upside. Kind of a Binky
