Also they don't have that key generational guy most dynasty's need. They can sure be competitive for a while i think.

I am not predicting dynasty by any means but I would not be so quick to think they do not have a potential generational talent...or 2.

The same could be said about many teams most years. If your goalie is playing as well as Thomas did at the height of his play that can make an otherwise usual first round exit team a real threat.

I was concerned about Toronto's speed...still am. They probably should have had a couple more goals. In which case it would have been a completely different game. Tuuka turned in a good one though, thankfully.

This team doesn't need that type of other worldly goaltending, it just needs Rask to play like a solid 1. Sound will be adequate to keep them in it against any team in this tourney. The concern I have is Rask can suddenly go cold as a stone. Amy return of November Rask and the B's are done.

They had a great 2nd period ... clearly won possession but came up empty which hurt them.
Their power play possession was great ... but no goals.

Exactly...that puck luck doesn't last forever. Can't remember the last game the B's had such a hard time keeping the puck outta their end on the pp. That was some scary stuff.

I guess it depends what you mean by a generational talent. I'm not saying they don't have one but it's really early to assume that. When I say generational talent I mean someone who is one of the top 3-4 players over the next 15 years that can be their franchise guy.

You don't automatically need such a player to have a dynasty but it sure helps.

Maybe Charlie McAvoy or Pastrnak can be that guy but idk. Personally I don't think Pastrnak can. He is reaching just about his full potential right now which is very good but not an all time great IMO. Still very happy to have him on the team.

Edit: I guess I would bring up Debrusk or Heinen as possibilities. But IDK. They weren't even in the top 5 rookies this year in points. Neither wa McAvoy. Of course that doesn't mean they won't be better in the end but it be a better sign IMO.
