I agree that the Butler benching didn't make sense, especially as the game progressed.

With the way Richards and McCourty were struggling, a physical presence who adds swagger and strong tackling + playmaking/a nose for the ball would have been perfect.

No Johnathan Jones? Seems like a perfect guy to play... is he hurt?

You sound just like every pats hater every time we win a game. The defense is what costed us the game. We all know NFL refs suck.......but that isn't even remotely why we lost.

Ertz’s call was the same as Jesse James.

Clement stepped out of bounds and lost possession.

The Pat's defense was awful, I have no idea about the Butler situation, needless to say, he will be singing elsewhere.

Chung, Van Noy, and Gilmore played their hearts out, Harrison and Brown were OK.

There is no need to bring back anyone else!! McCoutry might be the most overpaid player in the NFL, Harmon INT was lucky.

Roberts, Rowe, and Richards were just plain out bad! They should never play another snap.

The Pat's need to make some major changes on defense, I would cut McCourty, Branch, Richards, Rowe, Roberts.

Hightower was greatly missed, Van Noy should stay, they need to sign, draft a bunch more LBs.

Philly had the #1 defense and Brady shredded them without Cooks or Edelman. This loss is not in him!!!!

Also. The eagles did literally the opposite of what the pats did with the game on the line.

Bill played to protect. Give up the fg apparently. Didn' send the house.

Eagles came at Brady heavy with game on the line.

That aggressiveness was the difference

I mean if you think you have a better handle on this than BB who saw Butler in practice for an entire year while you only saw game action then you should really think about it.

I am sure whatever happened with Butler will come out eventually. Until then I will go with the opinion of the GOAT coach.

Two completely different positions. As much as Richards sucks his presence on the field has nothing to do with Butler. There is no depth beyond Richards at safety while we have more CB depth behind Butler.

Even with the terrible defensive performance, we had the ball back with 2:10 left, 1 timeout, trailing by 6. Brady got strip-sacked and that basically ended the game. I thought for sure we were going to see a patented go-ahead drive. It sucks, but it is what it is.

We'd be talking about a great comeback win if we could have protected Brady. Defense won one for the other team tonight. It's tough, but we will be back.

Another 'WTF' move was not having Gilmore on Alshon.

That was a horrible decision by the coaching staff.

I think the Butler decision was late and left them scrambling a bit. Sure you prepare for changes in personnel, but I don’t feel they initially had the best matchups

You would be when you throw for a million yards, put the team on your back (AGAIN) then only have horrible coaching and the equivalent of not even bothering fielding a defense to contend with.
