He wasnt benched but there was just no matchup for him in this game. You he is not tall enough to play against Bryant and not physical enough to play against Schuster. He would have been a good backup against Brown because of DMac/Harmon helping out over the top on that matchup.

Fair points. I think he could've handled Ju-Ju but BB/co. disagree obviously.

Brady and Gronk were on a roll and there was a strong possibility of the game ending like the Super Bowl in OT. It totally made sense to try an end the game when they were just a hair away from the end zone.

Why did we bench Jonathan Jones? He's been one of the best slot/CB3s in the NFL this year. Wonder if he plays in a potential rematch.

I didn't understand it either.. Jones is significantly better than Rowe in the slot. Rowe was horrible until the last play of the game..

As has been said repeatedly on here - the ruling re: the completed catch is terrible (he had control as it crossed the goal line), but it was called correctly.

Delighted with the win - and there's no way they take their foot off the gas for the next two games...

Unless it's a fade to the corner of the EZ or the like (either the receiver makes the catch or it's out of bounds), that was epic dumb. Steelers all but have OT secure. All they need to do is not turn it over. So you throw the ball into the middle in tight coverage with all kinds of defenders around. An epic stupid risk far beyond Carroll's SB call.

Still can't believe Ben tried to force it in there, with a one man pass pattern, into a huge crowd. Great job by Rowe getting a hand in there, and clutch by Harmon. They were READY. How many defenses would not be? Most of them, for sure.

I would bet that the Steelers have not run through this situation a lot in their practice while by all reports our team was actually prepared for it.
