That wasn’t Cooks problem, that was underthrown, also don’t forget Cooks is not that tall. The offensive line has been absolute garbage; Soldier is getting demolished, the interior line is getting schooled.
Hate to say it, but La Canfora might be right. We’ve seen a couple of underthrows tonight and that ball had a ton of air under it. Sometimes indicate the quarterback’s mechanics are off because he can’t plant properly. Couple that with the fact that he’s being held out of practice (because of this injury), and I think there’s a good possibility that this is a real problem.
Cooks should have at least tried to touch him down if not prevent the pick. That would've actually been better than a punt but he gave up around 25 yards of field position.
