I live in Atlanta...folks are calling Quinn "dog scared" for going for it twice. Sounds odd given how aggressive it is, but when you think about it, it does make you wonder if they feel like they need to score every possession.

Funny stat from Felger: Patriots have scored 48 unanswered points against the Falcons now.

The rush defense set the tone - let the back end focus on stopping the pass.

Toasted by the Jets for 17 points

If you had told me 3 weeks ago that we would be up 17-0 at the half against the falcons I would have laughed

I’ve gotta say, I’m not really sure how this same D was toasted by the Jets initially but is lockdown against Atlanta of all teams. But hey I’ll take it!

The Pats have to play 60 minutes. BB has to be screaming 60 minutes in the locker room.

The lows of the last 4 games were not as devastating as they seemed and the high right now against the Falcons makes it look better than it actually was.

The truth is that this defense is simply on the right trajectory and no matter if they shut the Falcons out in the next two quarters or collapse a bit nothing changes that they remain a work in progress.

That being said the final scoring drive was a clinic in situational football. Perfection in terms of playcalls and time management.

I hope bill remembers that the falcons where up 17 last week.

Going on 4th down down 10-0 in the middle of the field with Tom freakin Brady having two minutes to work with, is going to create the Holy Trinity Of Idiocy with the buttfumble and the 4th and 2 by the Colts.

why stop at one?
Might be an aberration that Matt Ryan can not pass on this D. That tells me something is ****ed up with their offense. I mean we give up 300 yards for free like Halloween candy.

Yup. Still a half left. Need to continue to play.

Exactly PNumeroUno. This Game is NOT over! Lord have mercy is there no learning with some of you posters from watching season after season of games? Great first half for the Patriots but one half of football does not make a final score. The Patriots now need to come out with the same intensity and execution. Good run D and most passes are competitively contested. But the Falcons WILL make half time adjustments and the Patriots will be facing some different looks.

Personally would love to see Gill, Lewis, Burkhead and White win this game in the second half. That 2nd quarter drive with Burkhead making all those runs ate major clock, the Falcons D was sucking wind, and the drive ended up in points. We can do that twice in the second half (killing a good part of one quarter) and the Falcons will really have to pull one out to win this game (still possible but chances aren't great).
