Random Observations on Norv Turner

Pretty good theory. Just remember to attach it to your list of other blind homer fantasies that you guys have:

1. It wasn't a fumble
2. Brady is better than Manning
3. Harrison is a real class act admitting that he used HGH purely to recover from devastating injury of course
4 The Patriot Way mantra
5. Belichick doesn't cheat by intercepting coaching signals its just a huge conspiracy
Fantasies??? Start by yours..the Chargers actually winning a Super Bowl....that is a BIG fantasy..NOT happening...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, Random Observations on Norv Turner ......

I got one. He blows as a Head coach. Decent enough coordinator though

1. There you go. I can feel the conviction in your writing. Great job so far

2. So so. Be sure to include to mention Brady has three rings next time.

3. WRONG. We are talking about Patriots homer fantasies not Charger homer fantasies. Try Again. I would suggest saying something about his heart, class and love for the game.

4. You seem confused. The Patriots Way refers to this higher class level and moral integrity of the New England Patriots though I admit this one is harder to keep up with the Moss and Merriweather player additions as well as the various cheating scandals, but I;m sure given some time this too can spun properly.

5. Once again not on topic. Try to focus on the jealousy of inferior teams and the necessity to see clear and concrete proof. Mention conspiracy if possible

Go ahead and give it another shot now...
Are you serious? I waited for this? Your reply is to come in and say "your wrong try again."
Your not a good troll if you're not going to actually attempt at debunking that.
Try calling Brady a "system" QB in your reply. That's worth 10 troll points.
Take a lap.

Why?? He blew you out of the water...GONE!!! your arguments are GONE!!! Strike Three..you are OUT!!!

I could care less if LT was classy or not. As long as he doesn't commit any crimes its good enough for me. I also wouldn't care if the entire Chargers roster was using HGH as long they weren't stupid enough to get in their name.
So Merriman taking 'roids is not OK with you. Got it.

Taking one of the most easily detectable steroids out there is just moronic. So moronic in fact that it actually is the only reason I might believe that it was just a tainted supplement.

Good. Now, claim a conspiracy against other teams secretly tainting his power juice, so that he'd get suspended. Call everyone here "blind homers" and tell us how you have "owned" us all.

Do you want to try now? Be sure to stay on topic for each number and try to remember we are talking about the Patriots, not the Chargers.
You did a good job of switching cleanly into troll mood after your points got blown up. +5 troll point.
You need to bait better than that. -10 troll points.
You did manage to avoid the fact that your previous arguements got blown up. +3 troll points.
The better bait would have been, "can you prove me wrong." or "I'm just saying what everyone else is saying."
For extra credit, you should tell the person being baited that they can't, because you have clearly "owned" the blind "homers" around here.

See I'm glad we are coming to an understanding. Claiming that another team is responsible for Merriman's drug suspension is just as ridiculous as believing the Patriots fan blind homer fantasies previously mentioned in this thread.

Very good. Claim we have reached an understanding. +10 troll points. But you left the door open for someone to ask "what blind homer fantasies?" -5 troll points.
The topic to start with was that Norv would not do a good job as a head coach. The Blind homer fantasies were brought up by you. It would have been better if you hadn't brought them up.

The topic started with Norv sucks as a coach because the Chargers couldn't get any pressure on Grossman (which was disproven in post 3) and the Charger's didn't pass on the guy Archuleta was covering (disproven in post 2).

After that the only thing left was Norv's career record which was countered with Belichick's career record with the Browns.

Once again please try again...
OUCH!
Going back into argue mode after previously switching to troll mode. -50 troll points.:bricks: The point made was that Norvie had sucked longer with more than one team. BB had, of 'course, come into a situation in New England where the team wasn't very good and turned them into play-off contenders pretty quick, after his stint with the Browns, whereas the teams Norvie left were worse after he left then before he got there.
You're really not very good at this forums stuff at all. The only thing you could have worse was to do a "copy cat" of the person you're attempting to troll. I'm afraid you really aren't going to be able to recover from this one.

See finally a decent point, but obviously it has nothing to do with how Turner coached the Chargers yesterday. That was the key we were looking for before the conspiracy theorist homers found there way into this thread.

You go back and find me how many games where No-shot-himer was coaching where LT ran for less than 50 yards. EVER.

Hmm.
I was certain he had 70 yards that game.

oh well.

But if you are honestly satisfied with Norvie's job so far, I won't beat my head against a wall.
how was bb after his first game?

you're a pats fan saying we should be dissatisfied with norv after the 1st game in which we won by 11, over the defending nfc champs, a team you guys only beat 17-13 in NE last year, now how ******ed does that sound ? honestly....

i got a feeling if norv beats bb sunday some of you may just try and kill yourselves , don't do it.

Tell me that Pats team was as talented as this Charger team is. I dare you.

I think we'd be able to handle a loss. The REAL question is:If you Fizzle Fans lose AGAIN, will the b*tching finally come to an end?

Yeah-the Chargers won, and they looked good yesterday, BUT...

1. The Chargers' vaunted front 7 got VERY little pressure on Rex-yeah, they got a few sacks, but Rex had all day to throw for the most part, and this is against the oldest OL in football. IF Berrian hadn't run that bad route at the end of the half, it would have been 10-0. And on top of that, if it weren't for 2 bone-headed fumbles by their RBs, this game would have been a blowout Bears. Anyhow-from what I saw with the defensive schemes, the playcalling from Cottrell was FAR different from Phillips' last year, and Norv did nothing.

2. As a HC, Norv would consistently FAIL to find mismatches et al on O-he did it alot in Washington, he UNDER-utilized Randy Moss late in games in Oakland, and I noticed he did alot of that yesterday. Adam Archeleda(sp) sucks in coverage, but he was paired with Antonio Gates ALOT-however, I was shocked to see how few times Norv tried to exploit this. There were other times where they looked flat on O not nec b/c of the Chicago D, but his failure to make in-game adjustments et al.(i.e. when Chicago putting that 8th man in the box, didn't have play action passes et al)

The pt being here is that Norv's inability to be a good HC who makes good in-game management decisions et al is only going to weigh this team down.

That was a hard fought game against a Super Bowl finalist. They have a pretty serious defense. As for the Chargers defense - the Bears scored 3 points.

The Chargers werent playing the Jets.

No here's the basis of the thread:Norvie's regular season record. It sucks. And we here at PatsFans have no reason to believe that he won't continue to suck, or that he will some how overcome completely F*CKING UP a good thing.

Like AJ Smith said when he hired Norv, he was aware of his past record but he wasnt coaching the Chargers then.

Just like Kraft didnt seem to care that Belichek's record sucked when he coached the Browns.

Funny how coaches have good records when they have good players.

Well last year, the Super Bowl finalist played the Jets, and scored 10 points. 3 was from a surprise onsides-kick to start the second half, setting them up in great field position. 7 were from a Chad Pennington INT in the end-zone returned to the opposing red-zone.
Looked like two evenly matched teams all game.
But if you're honestly gonna say Grossman is better than Chad, don't.
Just don't.
So was the Bears defense pushed around all day, or did the Jets have good offense?
Did the bears have a bad day offensively, or was the Jets D that good?

If you're gonna reply to something from 4 pages ago, you might as well have looked up the part where I said BB turned the Pats around.
Norvie left the Redskins and Raiders in worse condition than when he started.
Make a little effort, M'kay.:snob:

What is more likely is that the whiney little biotches of the league are so tired of getting beat by the Pats, that they've come up with their little cheater drivel. Taping the Jets, the Lions, the Packers, and the Bills? Not the Broncos, the Colts, or the Chargers?

One lost little coach, who once AGAIN got pounded by his former boss, cries wolf, and all of a sudden, all the losers in the league are calling them cheaters. :bricks:
At least we won't see you twits ever again after next Sunday.

Uhhh..in the last two games these teams have played the Chargers thumped the Patriots in your house and you won a close playoff game that your coach and QB admitted you were lucky to win. Brady had thrown the losing interception only to see it fumbled back. Like that happens often.

When Norv Turner took over in Washinton,he inherited a pretty good team if I remember, and did nothing with it. AJ Smith should have given the job to Philips. That whole issue was butcherd in SD last year.
