While I like and admire Connor, as do most of us here, he is not worthy of the 72nd-overall pick, or of any pick inside the top 100.

I couldn't say whether Conner is "worthy" of the #72 or not. Which pick BB needs to use on a prospect who he really wants is a function of the level of the (perceived) market demand for the guy's services among other teams more than anything else.

Even so, a relatively recent survey of rankings and projections seems to indicate that Conner would likely still be on the board at #130, though maybe not as late as #163. If BB really, really likes either Hunt, Perine or Hill, he might need to use the #96 on them, but I'm not seeing such a vast difference between those three and other RBs who might be projected to go higher that it would seem justifiable to use the #72 on any RB (IMHO).

In any case, I'd guess that there are prospects at positions other than RB who BB really likes and for whom the market demand would be much higher than for any RB (e.g., DE, OT, LB, DB).
