Ha, man I'd kill to have Luck right about now. This team has actually done pretty decently since the late 90s w/o a QB. Especially ten years with not even average QBs yet still going deep in the playoffs a couple times.

Grats to Hightower.

This puts him in line to be next among the great defensive anchors for the Pats in the Belichick era, along with McGinest, Bruschi, Vrabel, Law, Harrison, Wilfork, Mayo...now its him and McCourty.

He beat out a bunch of early round defenders who might have been Patriots Greats, but didn't pass muster: Spikes, Jones, Collins, Easley...gone or discarded.

Edelman was in San Fran a couple of years ago, Hightower was in Pitt.

Hightower is the leader of the defense, you could tell from his sound bites during the super bowl that he keeps them in line. Great gutsy player that steps up when SHTF.

Game saving tackle in SB 49 and game saving strip sack in SB 51. He earned his pay day and I think the price was definitely reasonable.
