List something that is possible, that you wish the Patriots would do?

#1 - Trade a conditional pick for the rights to Calvin Johnson & convince him to come out of retirement.

#2 - Draft Joe Mixon (1st round talent) with one of our 3rd round picks.

Draft Tek has him going to us in the 3rd #96 in their latest mock (not that it matters).

#3 - Trade Garappalo to Cleveland for #12 & #52

Draft - ILB - Reuben Foster #12
Draft - TE - Adam Shaheen #52

#1Hightower signed

#2 Butler extended

#3 Get Mangold or someone to bolster the IOL if Jackson isn't healthy or Karras isn't where you hoped he'd be.

#4 A coverage linebacker - draft/trade

#5 Blount or replacement.

#6 A good band for the post-superbowl victory party.

If the Pats do pull of a trade with Cleveland, assuming they stay at #12, I'd love to see them draft Rueben Foster if he makes it that far.

#1 Sign Hightower 5 years 54M 31 guaranteed.
#2 Don't trade Butler.
#3 Trade JAG for #12, #52 and next years 3rd from the Browns.
#4 Sign Mangold - C- for 2 year 14M 7 guaranteed
#5 Sign DeAndre Levy - OLB - 1 year prove it deal for 4M

In the draft with those picks.

#12 - Derek Barnett - DE
#52 - Samaje Perine - RB (and I don't value RBs so that shows what I think of this guy)

You may be right, but nobody expected ua to get Corey Dillon either because of his history..(Click in TMZ below).

TMZ

Myra Kraft was still around when Belichick traded for Dillon.

Did you read the date on that article, or do you not remember which seasons Dillon played here?

#3 Trade JAG for 12, 33, and a 2nd next year...

I still might not do that.

Revis drinks from the fountain of youth, which also cures his dementia, making him realize the Patriots were the best thing that ever happened to him. Signed for vet min.

I did mine yesterday on the other thread

Out of it all I want to happen more than anything is

Big Vince to come home and retire.

Yeah ..... something that is possible.

Let me guess, your still celebrating the resigning of Develin & you don't want Amendola to take a pay cut.

1. Invite Barry Sanders to training camp. He's 48, but doesn't have a lot of mileage on those legs, plus he'll only be a rotational back anyway.

2. Sign Steve Young as our backup QB. This frees up a Jimmy G trade. Get the #1 and #12 overall from Cleveland.

3. Trade Steve Young + #12 to San Francisco for #2 overall. SF may be a little leery about taking on a 55-year-old QB, but Young has a rich history with SF so I think they will bite.

4. Draft Myles Garrett and Jonathan Allen with #1/#2 picks.

5. Trade for Calvin Johnson and Josh Gordon. Give up a 6th for Gordon and a 7th for Johnson. I think if we get both it will motivate them to compete against one another.

6. Convert Edelman to FB. He loves contact anyway. And also this makes him a huge threat out of the backfield. Perfect fit.

7. Draft Brissett for three future firsts. This gives us ton of ammo moving foward.

8. Sign Bill Belichick as our backup QB. He's old but he knows the game better than anyone.

We go into the season with this:
QB - Brady (backup: B. Belichick)
RB - Barry Sanders (3DB: Lewis)
FB - Edelman
WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Gordon
WR - Cooks
TE - Gronk
TE - Allen

I think this is attainable and we'd average ~60 PPG.

lol Calvin Johnson coming out of retirement is possible? Ok then...

Yeah.... athletes never come out of retirement..... except these guys...

James Harrison
Randal Cunninghan
Michael Jordan
Wilt Chamberlain
Roger Clemens
Brett Favre
Ricky Williams
Lance Armstrong
Magic Johnson
Allen Iverson
Michael Vick
Deion Sanders
Mario Lemieux
George Foreman
Muhammad Ali
Roberto Duran
Sugar Ray Leonard

If Calvin Johnson got traded to the Patriots & came out of retirement, he would still be a top 10 WR. When next season starts, he will only be 31 years old.

Stranger things have happened.
