Seems to me everyone wants Brady to give Goodell an f-you moment by making Goodell give Brady the MVP trophy. But that presentation is really nothing more than a glorified press conference taking place on Monday morning after the game, not to mention it assumes the Patriots win *and* Brady is the MVP. So my question is this:

If the Patriots win on Sunday, should Bob Kraft have Tom Brady accept the Vince Lombardi Trophy on behalf of the team immediately following the game? Yes, it is traditionally given to the owner of the team but I can't imagine there's an official rule that says that has to be the case. Kraft has already done it 4 times, so it isn't exactly a once-in-a-lifetime moment for him.

Sure would be nice to have Brady's f-you moment on live TV before millions instead of the afterthought press conference the following day.

Brady should thank Judge Berman for trying to do the right thing and releasing the transcripts over the NFL's objections as they proved Goodell is a bold face liar who can't be trusted.

Yes, that's normally the process

Is this a thread asking what I would want happen and if so can I be held accountable if it does happen?

Would love to have the deflator accept the award.

But I think we shouldn't swoop to their level. I think majority of fans understand what's going on now. So we should take the high road. If we win, why would we want to contribute more things to be criticized? Just say, this win is for all the people who supported the team during difficult times.

Brady will be above it all. I can't say I would but I respect his right to do so and it's part of what makes him who he is, can only worry about what you can control.

Brady is just too much a better person than goodell to play his game.

Excellent post.

Yeah, and a neutral ish remark would be fine

You've won the SB, it's really what matters, no need to be salty

But after taking the trophy when beginning to speak mention something about "this must feel very...deflating for you roger, to be up here w me"

Or asking the fans to "say hello" to roger knowing full well the hello is gonna be boos from top to bottom

Yup. Think how much it will eat at goodell to have to hand the trophy to Brady and realize he lost.

Should he? No. Will he? Yes. Because he's ten times the man Goodell is and better than most of us.

It's such a shame. The NFL should make him the face of the league. He is exactly what they should want all the rookies coming into the league to strive to be. He is a good example for anyone.

Brady should accept the trophy with his left hand, grab his crotch with his right hand and then use it to shake Rogers small hand.

I could see Goodell trying to give it to Kraft and Kraft saying "why don't you give it to this guy right over here instead?"

This is my favorite suggestion, but I dont think Bob has even the minimal amount of spine needed to pull this off

Goodell gives the Lombardi to the owner. He gives the Super Bowl MVP to the player on Monday morning. So if the Pats win, Brady may not get anything directly from Goodell.

If I am Brady and I win the Super Bowl MVP though, I skip the ceremony on Monday.

I suggested in other threads:

1. RK direct him to TB and TB say "I'll only accept in exchange for you taking this summons to my civil lawsuit for damages"

2. The OL/DL block the steps to the stage and tell him only honorable men go up these steps, "you have to take a lie-detector test to go up," take the trophy away and hand it up themselves

The best way to deal with a lying despot like Goodell is to confuse him, by accepting the trophy graciously it will show that Brady is a "bigger and smarter man" than Goodell, despite his rhetoric Goodell has **** balls running down his leg over this possibility..

If Brady were to do anything less than this, it would make his look bad and provide a "told you so" moment.. Brady is smart enough not to damage his "brand"...
