Since this game is basically over, let's spend a little time being hypothetical and talking Pats - Falcons - specifically, how to defend Atlanta's offense. Many will say to put Butler on Julio, but I wonder if it may be prudent to do it like they did in 2014 and put Butler (a.k.a. Revis) on their 2nd best guy, Sanu, to lock that guy down, then have the big guy Rowe (a.k.a. Browner) cover Julio with a lot of help over the top. Ryan in the slot can cover the third guy, and Chung can cover the TEs... and Hightower, Roberts & the gang can do their best to stop the run while Flowers keeps pressure on Ryan.

Storyline next 2 weeks: Greatest Show on Turf II...

If the Pats win today, they will be heavy underdogs, Falcons greatest team ever, best offense in the modern era, blah, blah, blah.

After all the intense Rogers ballwashing, I'd guess that the mediots will simply switch to Ryan ballwashing.

The difference -- at least to me -- being that Ryan deserves a lot of praise for his year. He still makes a couple of awful decisions in each game but kept those to a minimum this year and showed consistency over the entire season. I don't have an issue with him getting a lot of praise.

Julio Jones is so going to Facebook Live the locker room later.

People who thought GB was the tougher match up and wanted to avoid them at all costs should slap themselves.

To be fair, there was the horseshoe embedding issue that has plagued NE in the past.

I would love to blame Rodges more but he is not getting much help. A lot of pressure. Missed FG and a turnover. Also some drops.

Rodgers as not played his best but it is not like the rest of his team is being brought down by him. No one is doing well.
Wow. Rodgers is the QB and the leader. He has played like crap. Much worse than Brady did last year against Denver.
I mean the GB defense can't stop the Falcons, so that isn't on Rodgers.
But Rodgers has not done anything to lead his team today. Probably his worst game of the year.

I wish the pats gme was this easy. Ours unfortunately will be a painful close game.

Went from talking about how the Falcons were playing well on D, to saying that their D is better than everyone thought, to saying that their D is a "dominant force", to saying that their D will be one of the elite defenses for years to come.

...in a span of 25 seconds.

Gonna be hearing a lot about Troy and Joe's golf games over the next hour or so.

If the Pats win today, they will be heavy underdogs, Falcons greatest team ever, best offense in the modern era, blah, blah, blah.

Right now Atlanta is a 7 pt underdog in a potential matchup with us.
